Riverside and Breaux Bridge
Fuel and liquid terminals north-east of town
Riverside Fractionation Plant, a petroleum product terminal the Energy Information Administration places 7.5 miles north-east of White Castle, is one of the fuel sites around the town. Tankers and day cabs that load there are the kind of tractor we collect, and it helps to tell us at the start whether yours pulled a tank trailer and which product it hauled.
Two liquid bulk terminals, Kinder Morgan to the east and St. Gabriel to the north, each sit 8.2 miles out according to the Bureau of Transportation Statistics. If the truck is parked at a yard near either one rather than at your home, give us that address and the name of whoever holds the gate key, so the pickup goes to the right place.
Breaux Bridge Storage, another petroleum product terminal listed by the Energy Information Administration, lies 8.3 miles north. Owners who ran between these storage sites can send the VIN, a few photos of the cab and the trailer hookups, and any inspection sheets kept from terminal entry.
East bank tracks
A rail yard just under ten miles east
East of White Castle by 9.7 miles, the Geismar rail yard appears in the North American Rail Network that the Federal Railroad Administration and the Bureau of Transportation Statistics maintain. Trucks that shuttle loads to and from a yard like that are often flatbeds, tankers or container chassis haulers, and we will look at any of them.
When a tractor has spent its days around Geismar, it may be sitting in a lot on that side of the river when you decide to sell. Tell us which side of the Mississippi it is on and how a rollback reaches it, and we will plan the collection around the crossing.
Fill material
Hoists and beds from the South Louisiana fill pit
South Louisiana Fill Materials, LLC, a sand and gravel operation 11.5 miles east of town, is on file with the Mine Safety and Health Administration. Dump trucks, end dumps and the tractors that pull them are what an operation of that kind keeps on the road, and all of them are trucks we buy.
For a dump truck, send photos of the bed, the hoist and the frame alongside the cab, plus the title and current registration. A list of any parts swapped out over the years is useful but not required; we ask about whatever the photos leave open.
Gillis Long Center
Straight trucks near Carville’s Guard post
Just 3 miles north-east of White Castle, the Bureau of Transportation Statistics lists the NG Carville Gillis Long Center as a military installation. NG Baton Rouge AFRC, also on the Bureau of Transportation Statistics list, stands 13.6 miles north.
Box trucks, service bodies and straight trucks that contracted around installations like these are welcome. Have the title in the name of the person or business selling, and if the truck carried a site pass or decal, mention it so we can note it on the pickup.
Hasten Tag Agency for a duplicate
A missing title is handled by the Louisiana Office of Motor Vehicles, and the nearest of its OMV offices to White Castle is Hasten Tag Agency, LLC, at 1643 Hwy 30, St Gabriel, 70776, about 9.2 miles away. Ask there for a duplicate before we schedule collection, and bring the VIN and your photo ID.
If a lender still shows on the title, the Louisiana Office of Motor Vehicles will want the lien release with the paperwork. Keep the registration, the duplicate title and any lien release together, and we will check them against the VIN when we arrive.
Pasture roads
Cattle, horses and honey on parish farms
Around White Castle, Iberville Parish counted 156 farms in USDA’s 2022 Census of Agriculture, with cattle, equine and honey as the leading listings. Stock trailers’ tractors, flatbeds and farm straight trucks from those operations are trucks we take.
A farm truck is often parked in a barn lot or along a pasture road. Send us a pin or directions to where it stands, a photo of the VIN plate and the title, and tell us whether the ground is firm enough for a rollback.
