Three quarries, six miles
Fishkill Quarry and the gravel pits near Brinckerhoff
The Mine Safety and Health Administration lists Fishkill Quarry, a crushed-stone operation, 4 miles south-west of Brinckerhoff, and the Century Aggregates Fishkill Mine, a sand and gravel pit, 4.3 miles out on the same bearing. A tri-axle dump or a tractor that pulled an end-dump between those two sites is exactly the sort of truck we buy here. Note which pit it ran from when you contact us, and send a photo of the body raised as well as the cab.
Clinton Point Quarry & Mill, logged by the Mine Safety and Health Administration as a crushed-stone site 5.8 miles north-west, is the third stone operation within six miles of town. If your truck still sits in a quarry yard rather than your driveway, give us the gate location and the name of whoever can let a driver in, and we plan the collection there.
West bank fuel docks
Fuel bodies loading on the west bank stretch
West toward the river, the Bureau of Transportation Statistics places the New Hamburg liquid bulk terminal 5.1 miles from Brinckerhoff, while the Energy Information Administration records the Roseton petroleum product terminal 6.1 miles away. Fuel delivery trucks and tank tractors that load on that stretch of shoreline fit what we purchase. Keep the tank’s inspection certificates with the title so we can see what the trailer or body carried.
Further south-west, at 8.9 miles, the Energy Information Administration lists the Newburgh petroleum product terminal and the Bureau of Transportation Statistics lists Global, a liquid bulk site, at that same distance. A straight truck with a fuel body or a tractor that worked those docks can stay wherever it is parked; our driver collects it from that spot.
Danskammer Plant, a rail yard 5.6 miles west of the hamlet, appears in the North American Rail Network that the Federal Railroad Administration and the Bureau of Transportation Statistics maintain. Trucks that met rail cars there belong in the same conversation; tell us the yard, the axle layout and the VIN, and the rest of our questions follow from those.
Hamlet workforce
A small workforce with a building trade at its core
Brinckerhoff had 432 jobs in 2023 by the Census Bureau’s LEHD job counts, and construction filled 50 of them, or 11.6 percent. Those jobs mean pickups with plows, flatbeds, mason dumps and box trucks parked at homes and small shops across the hamlet. Whatever the body, have the registration and the title in the same name before we arrive.
Sixty construction establishments operate countywide, according to the Census Bureau’s County Business Patterns for Dutchess. Many of those outfits run one or two trucks, so a seller here is often an owner-operator or a contractor with a single spare unit. Send us the VIN, a clear photo of each side and the odometer reading, and we can start from that.
Milk, horses, deer
Farm trucks across the Dutchess hills
Dutchess County holds 620 farms in USDA’s 2022 Census of Agriculture, with milk ranking first among its products, followed by equine and then deer. Milk haulers, stake-body farm trucks and tractors that pull horse trailers all come up for sale in this part of the valley. If a truck carries farm plates, mention it when you first write to us.
A farm truck usually waits in a barn or field rather than a paved lot, and that is fine with us. Point us to the field gate, mention whether the ground is soft in wet months, and our driver arrives prepared for it.

What inspectors have seen around Brinckerhoff
FMCSA roadside inspection records from August 2024 to August 2026 cover 94 trucks linked to the area, and their median model year is 2020. In those FMCSA records, 19.15 percent of the trucks were ten or more model years old. Newer or older, both ends of that range are trucks we buy; the model year simply goes on the first line of your message.
New York’s Advanced Clean Trucks Regulation and its Heavy-Duty Low NOx Omnibus Regulation both show enforcement as paused on the state’s environmental conservation site. A seller weighing those rules can still sell a diesel tractor today, and we take the truck as it stands under the rules in force.
Lost paperwork, sorted in Wappingers Falls before collection
Title replacement runs through the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles, whose Wappingers Falls office on 29 Marshall Rd is a 3.4-mile trip from Brinckerhoff. If the title is missing, apply there for a replacement before the sale, and bring your registration and photo ID to that counter.
When a lender still holds a lien, ask the lender for the release letter alongside the replacement title from the DMV. Keep the release and the title together for the day of collection.
