The Brockport Plant and the pits to the west
The Mine Safety and Health Administration lists the BROCKPORT PLANT, a crushed-stone quarry, 3 miles south-east of the village. A tandem or tri-axle dump that has hauled stone out of that gate is the kind of truck we come to Brockport for; send us the VIN, a few photos of the body and the hoist, and the registration card.
Two sand and gravel operations, Wilson Pit at 13.6 miles and Eagle Harbor Sand & Gravel Inc at 15.9 miles, both lie to the west of Brockport according to MSHA records. If your truck is parked at a pit yard rather than at home, give us the address and the name of whoever holds the gate key, and we arrange collection there.
South toward Le Roy, the Leroy Plant quarry sits 15.2 miles from Brockport, again on the Mine Safety and Health Administration’s list. Owners who split work between that quarry and the one near the village can sell a truck from either yard without moving it first.
Fuel terminals and rail yards along the Gates corridor
Per the Energy Information Administration, two petroleum product terminals, ROCHESTER WEST and GATES, stand 13.6 miles east of Brockport. A tractor or straight truck that has pulled fuel from those racks goes on our list too; have the title and the most recent inspection sticker details ready when you call.
Rail freight enters the picture at ROCHESTER BROOKS AVE, a yard 14.6 miles east, and at the ROCHESTER yard 18.8 miles out, both mapped on the North American Rail Network kept by the Federal Railroad Administration and the Bureau of Transportation Statistics. If your day cab shuttles loads to either yard and is parked near Brooks Avenue, we can collect it in Rochester rather than in Brockport.
Freight, lumber and refuse out of the village
Out of 176 active carriers based in and around Brockport, FMCSA’s carrier census shows 76 hauling general freight from the village. The same census puts machinery and large objects next at 28, with logs, poles, beams and lumber at 24 and garbage and refuse at 20, so a lowboy tractor, a log truck or a roll-off from this village all fit what we buy.
Of those 176 carriers, FMCSA’s census counts 157 as intrastate and only 19 as interstate, and 127 are private fleets hauling their own goods. A truck owned by a farm, contractor or local business rather than a for-hire outfit sells to us the same way: title in the owner’s name, registration, and photos.
New entrants show up in the federal carrier census as well: 8 carriers registered in 2025 and 5 in 2024. Even an operator who started recently and is selling a first truck needs the same short list from us, the title and the keys.
Modest fleets and drivers who stay close to base
Fleets here stay modest: FMCSA’s carrier census shows the three biggest in Brockport at 18, 13 and 12 power units. If you are thinning out a fleet of that size, list each truck’s VIN and where it is parked, and we can take one unit or several from the same lot.
Driver records on the FMCSA census put 271 drivers within 100 miles of base and 141 beyond it. Across the 43 carriers that reported mileage, the median sits at 11,250 miles per truck in the same federal census, a neutral figure we simply note; an odometer reading and a photo of the dash are what we ask for.
Work around the village and across Monroe County
Of 3,868 jobs counted in Brockport for 2023 by the Census Bureau’s LEHD job counts, manufacturing held 192, a 5 percent share, and transportation and warehousing held 91, or 2.4 percent. Box trucks and straight trucks serving local plants and warehouses are part of what we collect from the village.
Corn, soybeans and milk lead the 511 Monroe County farms that USDA’s 2022 Census of Agriculture recorded around Brockport. A grain truck or a milk tanker registered to a farm in the county can be sold from the farmyard itself; tell us which barn or shed it sits in.
Duplicate titles at Greece Ridge Center
Brockport sellers who cannot find a title can go to the GREECE office of the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles at 152 Greece Ridge Center, Rochester, which the DMV places 12.8 miles from the village. Apply for the duplicate there before you contact us, or tell us it is in progress.
If a lender still holds the title, ask for the lien release letter and keep it with the registration. With the title, the release and photos of the truck in hand, the sale of a Brockport truck needs nothing else from you.
