Yards and terminals southwest of town
The North American Rail Network, kept by the Federal Railroad Administration and the Bureau of Transportation Statistics, places the Bevier Street rail yard 4.3 miles southwest of Chenango Bridge and the East Binghamton yard 5.1 miles south. A tractor that shuttles loads to and from those two yards is often parked close to them between runs, so give us the street address where it sits rather than your home address.
Norfolk Southern TBT, a liquid bulk terminal 4.4 miles southwest, appears in Bureau of Transportation Statistics listings. If your tanker or tank-pulling day cab has worked that terminal, list the trailer type and any tank inspection paperwork you hold, and send a photo of the data plate with the rest.
Two Vestal petroleum product terminals, 8.6 and 9 miles southwest, are on the Energy Information Administration’s list. Fuel haulers based along the Susquehanna between Chenango Bridge and Vestal can tell us which of the two the truck loaded at, and keep the hazmat registration and cargo tank records together with the title.
Quarry and pit trucks from Trim Street to Dyer Flat
Trim Street Quarry, a crushed-stone operation 8.1 miles southeast, is registered with the Mine Safety and Health Administration, as is Roberts’ Stone LLC, a dimension-stone quarry 11.7 miles south. Dump trucks and flatbeds that haul from either site may be parked at the pit itself, so tell us whether a loaded truck needs to be emptied first and whether the gate is open on weekdays.
Dyer Flat Pit, a sand and gravel operation 10.9 miles east, is another site the Mine Safety and Health Administration lists. For a tri-axle or tandem that has hauled gravel out of there, photograph the body, the hoist and the cab, and note the axle setup in your message so we know what kind of truck we are sending a driver for.
USDA’s 2022 Census of Agriculture counted 440 farms in Broome County, with milk, corn and cattle as the top products. Bulk milk tankers, grain trucks and livestock haulers that serve those farms are often kept in a barn or a field lane rather than a paved lot; describe the access, and we will plan the pickup around it.
A farm truck registered under a farm plate still needs a title in the seller’s name before we can collect it. Check that the name on the title matches the farm or the person selling, and if the farm has changed hands, find the paperwork that shows the transfer.
Builders and jobs in Chenango Bridge
Contractors here who run a dump truck, a box truck or a stake body can send the registration, the VIN and a few photos from each side, and tell us whether the truck sits at a job site or at the shop.
With a workforce that size, many trucks belong to one-truck owners who keep them at home; if yours is parked in a driveway on a residential street, say so, and mention any low wires or tight turns on the way in.
FMCSA roadside inspection records covering 102 trucks inspected from August 2024 to August 2026 give a median model year of 2020 for this area. Whatever the year of your truck, send the model year and the engine make with your first message, read off the title and the engine tag.
If your truck falls into that group or the newer one, the steps are the same: title, registration, photos, and where it can be collected.
If the title is lost, that office is where a replacement is applied for, and having the replacement in hand before pickup keeps the sale from stalling.
New York’s Department of Environmental Conservation lists enforcement of the Advanced Clean Trucks Regulation as paused, and the Heavy-Duty Low NOx Omnibus Regulation is shown with enforcement paused as well. Neither rule changes what you need to sell a diesel truck here: a clear title and the registration.
