Glennwood Landing
Fuel terminals just past the village line
The Energy Information Administration lists GLENNWOOD LANDING as a petroleum product terminal 2.1 miles north-east of Flower Hill. If your tanker or fuel delivery truck loads there, a photo of its DOT plate and the tank’s last test sticker tells us what the barrel is rated for before anyone asks.
A liquid bulk terminal run by Global Companies stands 2.2 miles north-east, according to the Bureau of Transportation Statistics. Trucks that shuttle between that dock and North Shore homes often stay parked near the harbor between runs, so give us the yard address and a gate contact and we will go there for the truck.
Further along the shore, the Energy Information Administration places the OYSTER BAY petroleum product terminal 9.1 miles north-east of the village, with a second Global liquid bulk terminal at the same distance on the Bureau of Transportation Statistics list. A delivery truck that loaded at both still sells from wherever it sits tonight; tell us which terminal it is closer to.
Jamaica’s two yards to the south-west
The North American Rail Network, kept by the Federal Railroad Administration and the Bureau of Transportation Statistics, shows JAMAICA YARD 10 miles south-west of Flower Hill and a second yard, JAMAICA, at 10.6 miles. Straight trucks and day cabs that drayed freight out of those yards can be collected there or here in the village, whichever suits you.
For a tractor that worked the Jamaica yards, the cab card and the registration in your name settle most of what we need, and that same rail network listing helps us place where the truck has been when you describe its route.
Tri-axles that ran to Broad Hollow Estates
Broad Hollow Estates Inc appears in Mine Safety and Health Administration records as a sand and gravel operation 13.6 miles east of Flower Hill. Tri-axles and dump trailers that hauled aggregate from that pit to Nassau job sites are welcome here; send photos of the body, the hoist and the cab, and note whether the truck is at the pit or at home.
If the dump truck is still parked on the operation’s property, the Mine Safety and Health Administration listing gives us the site name to plan around, and we will need someone on site who can let us in and confirm the keys are with the truck.
Village employment
Freight and warehouse work in the village
In 2023 the Census Bureau’s LEHD job counts recorded 4,934 jobs in Flower Hill, of which 89, or 1.8 percent, were in transportation and warehousing. Many of those drivers keep a single box truck or pickup-mounted rig, and an owner selling one vehicle gets the same pickup as a fleet would.
Nassau County held 29 farms in USDA’s 2022 Census of Agriculture, led by equine operations and cut flowers with cultivated greens. Stake-body trucks and horse-trailer tow rigs from those farms qualify too; have the title and a list of added equipment such as liftgates ready when you call.
Duplicate titles from the Garden City DMV on Oak Street
The New York State Department of Motor Vehicles office for Flower Hill sellers is GARDEN CITY, at 400 OAK ST, 6.6 miles from the village according to the department’s own office list. A missing title is replaced there, so start that request before you contact us.
Bring the registration, your photo ID and any lien release to that Garden City office if a duplicate title is needed, and keep the old inspection sticker records with the truck so the history arrives along with it.
Clean-truck regulations on hold in New York
New York’s Department of Environmental Conservation shows the Advanced Clean Trucks Regulation with enforcement paused. Nothing in that rule stops a Flower Hill owner from selling a diesel truck today, and we buy them as they are registered.
The Heavy-Duty Low NOx Omnibus Regulation is likewise listed as enforcement paused in the Department of Environmental Conservation’s published rules. If you were holding a sale until those rules settled, the engine model year on the emissions label is all we need you to read out to us.
