If your dump truck or tri-axle has hauled aggregate out of that gate, tell us so when you first get in touch, and send photos of the body, the tailgate and the cab along with the VIN.
A second crushed-stone site, West Nyack Quarry, appears in Mine Safety and Health Administration records 7.2 miles away in the same south-easterly direction. A truck that splits its shifts between those two pits is often parked at a contractor yard rather than at home; give us that yard’s address and the name of whoever holds the key, and we arrange collection there.
East of town, the North American Rail Network kept by the Federal Railroad Administration and the Bureau of Transportation Statistics places the North Croton yard 5.8 miles out and Harmon Shops 6.7 miles out. We collect tractors and service trucks that have worked those yards from where they stand; leave them parked there.
Cortland Manor, a petroleum product terminal, is recorded by the Energy Information Administration 7.3 miles north-east of Thiells. For a fuel tractor or tanker unit that has loaded there, have the registration, any terminal access paperwork and your service records together before we talk.
Farther up the river, the Bureau of Transportation Statistics lists a liquid bulk terminal named Global 18.6 miles to the north. If your truck is parked near that terminal instead of in Rockland County, share the location and we plan the pickup around it.
Camp Smith and West Point to the north
Two military installations sit within 11 miles, according to Bureau of Transportation Statistics listings: the NG Camp Smith training site 8.1 miles north-east and the West Point Military Reservation 10.9 miles north. A contractor truck that has supported work at either site may carry gate passes or site logs; keep those with the title and mention them in your first message.
If the truck is still inside a secured lot near one of those installations, tell us who can authorise access. We set the collection around that person’s schedule, and the sale itself is handled with you wherever you are.
Builders, wholesalers and Rockland farms
Of 2,398 jobs located in Thiells in 2023, the Census Bureau’s LEHD job counts put 98 in construction, a 4.1 percent share, and 151 in wholesale trade, a 6.3 percent share. USDA’s 2022 Census of Agriculture counts 18 farms across Rockland County, with honey named as the leading product. A farm pickup or small flatbed from one of those operations is welcome too; have the title in the name of the person or farm selling it.
Request a replacement title at that counter if yours has gone missing, and do it before we arrange collection.
Bring the registration, your identification and any lien release to that counter if a lender once held the truck. Once the title is clear and in your name, send us a copy along with the VIN and the address where the truck sits.
