Propane trucks near the Oneonta LPG Terminal
The Energy Information Administration places the Oneonta LPG Terminal, a petroleum product terminal, about one mile north-west of West End. If your bobtail or transport tanker loads at that terminal, tell us where it is parked and we collect it on site.
For a propane truck, gather the title, the current registration and any tank inspection certificates before you call us. A photo of the tank’s data plate, taken beside photos of the cab and the chassis, lets us identify the unit without a second visit.
A tanker that sits behind a terminal gate needs one more detail from you: who can let our driver in. Give us that person’s name and phone number up front and the pickup can be set for a time the yard is staffed.
South-east, by rail
On the North American Rail Network, kept by the Federal Railroad Administration and the Bureau of Transportation Statistics, the Oneonta rail yard is listed roughly 2.1 miles south-east of West End. Flatbeds, dump trucks and day cabs that move freight to and from a yard like that are all trucks we purchase.
If yours is stored near the tracks rather than at your house, send us the street address or a dropped map pin and say whether the ground is paved or gravel. Our driver arrives knowing which equipment to bring.
Have the VIN, the odometer reading and the title in your name ready when you reach out.
Factory and freight jobs around West End
Manufacturing accounted for 239 of the 1,240 jobs in West End in 2023, a 19.3 percent share, by the Census Bureau’s LEHD job counts. Box trucks and straight trucks that shuttle parts or finished goods between plants are welcome here, whether one unit or several.
Transportation and warehousing held 119 jobs that same year, 9.6 percent of the local total, according to LEHD figures from the Census Bureau. If you run a small fleet out of a warehouse lot, list each truck’s VIN and parking spot and we can plan one visit for all of them.
Selling a truck that belongs to a business means the title should be in the company’s name and signed by someone authorised to sign for it.
Milk haulers and farm trucks across Otsego County
Around West End, 803 farms operate in Otsego County, and milk, corn and cattle head the list of products in USDA’s 2022 Census of Agriculture. Milk tankers, grain trucks and livestock haulers off those farms are trucks we buy.
A farm truck often stays in a barn or a field lane rather than on a paved lot. Tell us how the truck is reached, whether a gate or a soft driveway is involved, and we will come to the farm instead of asking you to move it.
Farm plates and registrations differ from commercial ones, so send a photo of the registration with the title. If the truck carries a milk tank, a picture of the tank’s plate helps us too.
Titles here are issued by the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles, and its Delhi office stands at 1 Court House Square, Suite 1, Delhi, about 16.3 miles from West End. Begin a replacement there or through the agency’s replace-a-title page before you arrange a sale.
If a lender is still shown on the title, bring the lien release along with your request to the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles. A clean title in your own name is the one document we cannot collect the truck without.
Two DEC truck rules West End owners can note and set aside
New York lists two heavy-duty rules with the Department of Environmental Conservation, the Advanced Clean Trucks (ACT) Regulation and the Heavy-Duty Low NOx Omnibus (HD Omnibus) Regulation, and enforcement of both is currently paused.
West End owners selling a diesel tractor or straight truck do not need to sort out either rule first. Tell us the engine’s model year, found on the emissions label under the hood, and we handle the rest.
