Tankers at the two Lebanon fuel terminals
The Energy Information Administration places the LEBANON petroleum product terminal 5.3 miles south of Five Points and the LEBANON RP TRUCK TERMINAL 6 miles to the south-west. Tank trucks and the tractors that pull fuel trailers are the trucks those two sites keep busy, and we collect either kind from wherever it is parked.
If your tanker is parked at or near one of the Lebanon terminals, tell us the gate it sits behind and who holds the key. Send the VIN, a few photos of the cab, the tank and the tires, and any inspection or service records you kept from the fuel runs.
A tractor that hauled for the Lebanon sites but now sits in a yard at home in Five Points is just as easy for us. Give us the address and say whether a truck can reach it from the road.
West of town, the pits
Tandem dumps off the Germantown S&G and Barrett Paving pits
Germantown S&G lies 9.2 miles west of town on the Mine Safety and Health Administration’s list of sand and gravel operations, with Barrett Paving Mats Inc-West Carrollton 9.1 miles to the north-west. Tandem dumps and end-dump trailers are what aggregate work like this puts on the road around Five Points.
Before you call about a dump truck that ran out of those pits, find the title and the registration and photograph the bed, the hoist and the frame. Tell us whether the truck is still at the pit, at a contractor’s lot or at your place, so we know where we will be collecting it.
Moraine yards and the trucks that meet the trains
MORAINE TV, a rail yard 9.7 miles north of Five Points, and the MORAINE yard 10.8 miles out appear in the North American Rail Network kept by the Federal Railroad Administration and the Bureau of Transportation Statistics. Day cabs that shuttle loads between a rail yard and nearby warehouses are the usual tractors in that kind of work.
Should your day cab be parked up near Moraine rather than in Five Points, leave it where it is. We need the location, a contact on site and the odometer reading, and the pickup is planned around that spot.
Cement haulers and the Wright-Patterson corridor
To the north-east, the Mine Safety and Health Administration lists the Fairborn Cement Plant 19.2 miles away, and the Bureau of Transportation Statistics records Wright-Patterson Air Force Base at that same distance. Bulk pneumatic trailers and mixer trucks are the equipment a cement plant draws in.
A mixer or bulk tractor that worked the Fairborn plant can be sold from Five Points or from Fairborn. Bring together the title, the registration and photos of the drum or trailer along with the cab, and tell us which site the truck sits at now.
Five Points grain trucks and livestock trailers
Around Five Points, soybeans, corn and cattle lead the farm output, and USDA’s 2022 Census of Agriculture counts 872 farms across Warren County. Grain trucks, straight trucks with hoists and livestock trailers are the vehicles that farm work keeps in sheds and barnyards here.
A farm truck that only comes out at harvest is welcome. Photograph it where it stands, check the title is in your name, and tell us if the barn lane is narrow or soft so we bring the right equipment.
Replacing a lost title at the Franklin clerk’s counter
A Five Points seller deals with the Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles, whose titles come from County Clerk of Courts title offices. For Five Points, the closest is the Warren County Clerk of Courts Title Office at 245-A South Main Street, Franklin, 45005, which the Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles lists 6.2 miles from town.
If the title has gone missing, a duplicate from that Franklin office is the step to take before the sale. Let us know when you apply, and keep the registration and your photo ID together with the new title once it arrives.
