Tri-axles working the Germantown and Ernst pits
The Mine Safety and Health Administration lists Germantown S&G, a sand and gravel operation 4.6 miles north-west of Franklin, and the Eagle Materials Ernst Agg Plant 5 just beyond it at 5.1 miles. A dump truck or tri-axle that cycles between those pits and local job sites is often parked at the pit or a contractor’s yard rather than at the owner’s house, so give us that address and the name of whoever holds the gate key.
County Business Patterns from the Census Bureau counts 46 construction establishments in Franklin, and the LEHD job counts put 228 construction jobs in town for 2023. If your aggregate truck belongs to one of those small outfits, send the title, the current Ohio registration and photos of the bed, hoist and cab together, so the first conversation covers the whole truck.
Tankers at the Lebanon terminals
Two petroleum product terminals appear in Energy Information Administration listings south-east of town: LEBANON at 6.3 miles and the LEBANON RP TRUCK TERMINAL at 6.5 miles. A tank truck or tractor that loads at either one may sit inside a secured lot, so tell us who signs visitors in before we arrange collection.
Keep the tank’s test and inspection certificates with the tractor’s own service records. Fuel haulers who loaded at Lebanon can hand all of it over in one folder, and we will read it alongside the photos rather than chase each sheet separately.
Steel and machines
Flatbeds for coil, machinery and lumber
Of the 86 active carriers FMCSA’s carrier census lists in Franklin, 24 haul metal sheets, coils and rolls, 20 move machinery and large objects, and 15 carry logs, poles, beams or lumber. Those are flatbed and step-deck loads, so photograph the deck, the tie-down points and the trailer plate along with the tractor.
Manufacturing held 1,843 of the town’s 5,301 jobs in 2023, a 34.8 percent share in the Census Bureau’s LEHD job counts, with wholesale trade adding 806 more. A tractor that shuttles coil or parts between plants around Franklin is likely parked at a dock when you call; we come to the dock if the site allows it.
General freight is the most common cargo line in the federal carrier census here, listed by 61 of the 86 carriers. A dry-van tractor from that group needs only its title, registration and VIN to start the conversation.
Drayage from the Reeds yard and Sharonville
South-west of Franklin, the North American Rail Network maps the REEDS rail yard at 7.2 miles and the MIDDLETOWN yard at 7.5 miles. Trucks that drayage freight out of those yards often end the day in a lot near the tracks, and that lot is where we can pick yours up.
Further out, the Bureau of Transportation Statistics places the Cincinnati Sharonville intermodal ramp 21.1 miles south-west. A day cab that has pulled containers off that ramp can be collected wherever it now sits; send the VIN and the odometer reading first and the rest of our questions follow from those.
Franklin’s carriers, from one tractor to a fleet
FMCSA’s carrier census splits Franklin’s carriers into 48 interstate and 36 intrastate operations, with 25 private fleets hauling their own goods. Six new carriers registered in 2025 and seven in 2024 by the same federal count; a new operator with a single tractor sells it to us the same way a fleet does.
Among Franklin’s registered fleets, one runs 30 power units with 30 drivers, another 28 units with 23 drivers, and a third 20 units with 14 drivers, according to the federal carrier census. If you are thinning a fleet of that size, list each VIN with its title status and we will work through the trucks as one sale.
Across 180 trucks from Franklin carriers checked in FMCSA roadside inspection records between August 2024 and August 2026, the median model year was 2020 and 15 percent were ten or more years old. Whatever the model year of yours, the paperwork is the same: title, registration and a clear set of photos.
A posted span and Warren County grain hauling
Franklin’s 22 bridges include a single load-posted one and nothing below 14 feet of clearance, by the National Bridge Inventory’s tally. Tell us where the truck is parked and the route out of the lot, and we plan the pickup around that one posted span.
Soybeans, corn and cattle top the list on Warren County’s 872 farms in USDA’s 2022 Census of Agriculture. Grain trucks and livestock haulers kept on a farm outside town can stay right where they are; give us the farm address and a phone number for whoever will be there.
