Sand and gravel a few miles out
The Mine Safety and Health Administration lists L & I Pit & Mill 3.4 miles east of Mason and Oeder & Sons Sand & Gravel 4 miles east. A dump truck or tri-axle that loads aggregate at either one can stay parked at the yard it runs from; give us that address and the name of whoever holds the gate key.
With Census Bureau County Business Patterns counting 59 construction establishments in the area, a lot of these trucks belong to small contractors rather than haulers. If your dump truck is titled to the business, have the company officer who signs for it named before we arrange the collection, and keep the registration card in the cab.
Photos sell an aggregate truck to us faster than a description does: send the body, the hoist, the tailgate, the cab and the VIN plate, plus the odometer reading, and say which pit the truck has been loading at.
Sharonville, Reeds and the container trade
Within 9 miles of the city, the North American Rail Network shows the Reeds rail yard 8.5 miles north-west and the Sharonville yard 8.9 miles south-west. Day cabs that shuttle between those yards and local docks tend to be parked near one of them, so tell us which side of Mason the tractor sleeps on.
Cincinnati’s Sharonville intermodal ramp, 8.7 miles south-west according to the Bureau of Transportation Statistics, is where container chassis change hands. If you pulled boxes off that ramp, send the tractor’s VIN, its engine make and the fifth-wheel photos first, and leave the chassis out of it unless you own that too.
A tractor that has spent its working life on short rail runs often carries a thin service file; whatever inspection reports or annual stickers you do have, put them in one folder with the title so the collection driver can take them in a single hand-off.
Todhunter, Lebanon and liquid bulk
The Energy Information Administration places the Todhunter Terminal 9.1 miles north-west of Mason and the Lebanon RP Truck Terminal 9.6 miles north-east, both petroleum product terminals. Tank tractors loading at those racks are welcome; tell us whether the trailer goes with the tractor or stays behind.
Further south, a liquid bulk terminal sits 15.2 miles from town on Bureau of Transportation Statistics listings. Tankers that work that run should come with their last tank test certificates and the cab’s registration, since those are the first two things we ask about.
FMCSA’s carrier census shows 484 active carriers based here, 414 of them interstate, 67 intrastate and 58 running private fleets. A private fleet truck that hauled only its owner’s goods sells the same way as a for-hire tractor; bring the title in the company’s name and the USDOT number it ran under.
General freight is the cargo 437 of those carriers list, followed by motor vehicles at 75, paper products at 62 and fresh produce at 51, all on the FMCSA census. If yours was a car hauler or a reefer, mention the trailer type with the first photos so we know what to expect at pickup.
New registrations kept arriving too: 65 carriers in 2024 and 70 in 2025 per FMCSA’s census. An owner-operator who started in one of those years and is now stepping away needs the title, the registration and a photo ID; the operating authority does not have to transfer with the truck.
Whatever year your tractor is, give us the VIN and we can read the build from it.
Note the current odometer when you send photos, and include the dash shot so the figure and the picture agree.
The FMCSA census also splits local driving: carriers here report 9,101 drivers working within 100 miles and 8,718 beyond it. A local truck is usually at its home yard on a weekend, which is the simplest place for us to meet it.
Factories, wholesale and the bridges between
Of 29,759 jobs counted in 2023 by the Census Bureau’s LEHD job counts, manufacturing held 5,001 and wholesale trade 1,699, with transportation and warehousing at 451. Box trucks and straight trucks that run parts to those plants are part of what we purchase; if one is leased, have the lessor’s release in hand.
Tell us where the truck is parked and which road reaches it when you first contact us.
Warren County also counts 872 farms in USDA’s 2022 Census of Agriculture, led by soybeans, corn and cattle. A grain truck or livestock hauler parked on a farm can be collected from the farm itself; send the lane address and a phone number for whoever is there.
