If your tractor or straight truck has been parked at a plant dock or a shop lot in town, that is where we collect it; send us the street address and the name of whoever can let us onto the lot.
Ten construction establishments are counted here in the Census Bureau’s County Business Patterns. A dump truck, a flatbed or a service body that has gone from those firms to job sites can be sold from the yard it sits in, so photograph the cab, the body, the plate and the VIN plate where it stands and send them with the registration.
Quarries north and south-east of town
Weber Materials, Ltd, a crushed-stone quarry the Mine Safety and Health Administration lists 10.8 miles north, is the closest pit to New Bremen. The Mine Safety and Health Administration also lists Barrett Paving Materials Inc, another crushed-stone quarry, 17.5 miles to the south-east. A tri-axle or end dump that hauls stone from either one can stay at the quarry gate or your own lot when you sell it; tell us which, and whether a gate code is needed.
Hardin Sand and Gravel, 13.8 miles south-east, appears in the same Mine Safety and Health Administration records as a sand and gravel operation. Keep any service logs and scale tickets from that work with the title, and send copies with your photos.
North-east of New Bremen the Bureau of Transportation Statistics lists AIP Logistics, a liquid bulk terminal 13.2 miles out, and the Energy Information Administration places two petroleum product terminals, LIMA and LIMA SOUTH, at 22.5 and 22.8 miles. If your tractor pulled tankers on that stretch, tell us which terminals it loaded at and send any hazmat or tank inspection paperwork you have kept.
The Joint Systems Manufacturing Center - Lima, a military installation 22.3 miles north-east according to the Bureau of Transportation Statistics, sits on that same side of town. Should your truck be parked at a terminal or a contractor lot near Lima rather than at home in New Bremen, give us that address; we pick up where the truck is.
Grain and feed haulers on Auglaize farm roads
Around New Bremen, the 1,012 farms that USDA’s 2022 Census of Agriculture counts in Auglaize County lead with corn, soybeans and hogs. Hopper-bottom trailers, grain trucks and livestock rigs from those farms can be collected at the farmstead or the elevator. Name the spot when you write, gravel lane or paved yard.
On FMCSA’s carrier census, six of the 20 active carriers in town list farm supplies as cargo, six list grain, feed and hay, and five list commodities dry bulk. If yours is one of those trucks, have the Ohio title, the current registration and a few photos of the box or trailer ready before you call.
Of New Bremen’s 20 active carriers, FMCSA’s carrier census lists 12 as interstate, 8 as intrastate and 12 as private fleets hauling their own goods, with general freight the commonest cargo at nine carriers. In the same FMCSA census, one registered fleet runs 438 power units with 417 drivers, and the next two run 16 and 14. We buy a single truck from an owner-operator and several units from a fleet the same way, one VIN at a time.
That same FMCSA census counts 451 drivers working inside a hundred-mile radius and 53 working beyond it, and among the 11 carriers reporting mileage the median truck covered 12,700 miles a year. Note your odometer reading and the engine hours when you write to us, along with the VIN.
If you are winding down an authority you started recently, the truck can still be sold; send the title and registration in the name it was issued under.
Whatever the model year of yours, give it to us with the make and model in your first message.
Add it to the photos and service records you send, and we will read it alongside them.
The Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles handles titles through County Clerk of Courts title offices, and for New Bremen that is the Auglaize County Clerk of Courts Title Office at 604 South Blackhoof Street, Wapakoneta, 45895, 13.1 miles from town. If the title is lost, request a duplicate there before the pickup is booked.
A title still carrying a lien needs the lender’s release, and the Wapakoneta clerk’s office is where a cleared title is issued. Bring your photo ID and the VIN, and once you have the paper in hand, send us a photo of both sides.
