Marble Cliff and the quarry haul
Just 2.3 miles south-west of Upper Arlington, Marble Cliff Quarry quarries crushed stone, according to Mine Safety and Health Administration records. A dump truck or end-dump tractor that has hauled aggregate from that pit can stay parked near the quarry gate when you sell; give us the street address and the name of whoever controls access.
A second crushed-stone site, HAZMAG #1, appears in Mine Safety and Health Administration records 9.4 miles south of town. If your truck has split its loads between Marble Cliff and HAZMAG, tell us which body it carries and send photos of the bed, the hoist and the cab so the listing matches the truck.
Have the title in your name ready before the collection, along with the current Ohio registration. Scale tickets or dispatch sheets from either quarry are welcome but not required; they simply show us the work the truck has done.
Buckeye Yard and container tractors
Columbus’s Buckeye Yard intermodal ramp lies 3.5 miles south-west of Upper Arlington, on Bureau of Transportation Statistics records. Day cabs that shuttle boxes off that ramp to warehouses around Franklin County fit what we purchase, and we can arrange pickup wherever the tractor sits between moves.
Half a mile further out, at 4 miles, the North American Rail Network maintained by the Federal Railroad Administration and the Bureau of Transportation Statistics places the BUCKEYE rail yard. For a tractor based near the yard, start with the VIN and the odometer reading, then add photos of both sides, the fifth wheel and the tires.
Owners who leased a tractor onto a drayage operation should check whose name is on the title before calling. If a lienholder still appears on it, have the lien release or the lender’s contact details ready so the sale can be finished in one visit.
Columbus East terminals and liquid bulk
Two petroleum product terminals named COLUMBUS EAST sit 4.4 and 4.5 miles south-west of town, according to the Energy Information Administration. Tank trucks and tractors that load at those racks belong on our list; tell us the tank’s capacity and compartment count when you first get in touch.
Farther south-east, at 9.4 miles, the Bureau of Transportation Statistics records the Norfolk Southern TBT liquid bulk terminal. If your tanker has worked between that terminal and the Columbus East racks, keep any tank test certificates and hazmat inspection paperwork with the title, since they travel with the truck at sale.
Photos for a tanker should show the barrel, the valves and hose tubes, the cab and the plate. Upload those with the VIN, and say whether the trailer is part of the sale or the tractor alone.
Late-model tractors on inspection reports around town
FMCSA roadside inspection records cover 382 trucks inspected around Upper Arlington between September 2024 and August 2026, with a median model year of 2022. Late-model tractors and straight trucks make up much of what is on the road here, and we buy them alongside older units.
Of those 382 inspected trucks, 18.1 percent were ten or more model years old, on the same FMCSA roadside inspection records. Whatever the year of yours, the documents we ask for are the same: title, registration and any service records you keep.
Include a recent roadside inspection report with the rest of your paperwork if you have one. It gives a dated record of the truck’s equipment, and you can photograph it alongside the title when you send the VIN.
Construction crews and wholesale routes
Upper Arlington held 12,896 jobs in 2023 by the Census Bureau’s LEHD job counts, of which 191 were in construction and 202 in wholesale trade. Box trucks from distribution routes and dump or flatbed trucks from building crews are both trucks we collect, from a driveway, a jobsite or a shop lot.
Sixty-nine construction establishments operate in the area, on the Census Bureau’s County Business Patterns. If you run one of those firms and are selling a single unit out of several, tell us which truck it is by VIN and where it is parked so the right one is collected.
The same LEHD job counts put 75 jobs in transportation and warehousing and 55 in manufacturing in 2023. A truck that served a small plant or a warehouse here can be picked up from that site; just let us know who will meet the driver and hand over keys.
Farm
Soybean, corn and greenhouse hauling
USDA’s 2022 Census of Agriculture counts 372 farms in Franklin County, with soybeans, corn and potted flowering plants as the leading products. Grain trucks, flatbeds and box trucks that move those crops from field or greenhouse are trucks we buy.
A farm truck may be titled to a family member or to the farm itself rather than to you. Check the name on the title before you contact us, and if it differs, have the titled owner available to sign.
For a grain truck parked in a barn lot outside town, tell us whether the lane can take a tow truck in wet weather. Photos of the box, the hoist and the cab, plus the VIN, are what we need to begin.
The questions we get asked in Upper Arlington
- My dump truck sits on a lot by Marble Cliff Quarry; does it have to come into town first? No trip into town is needed for a truck parked beside the pit. The Mine Safety and Health Administration lists Marble Cliff Quarry 2.3 miles south-west of Upper Arlington, and we collect from that area directly. Name the lot’s owner and the person with the gate key.
- My day cab pulled boxes from the Buckeye Yard ramp; which details open the conversation? The VIN and the odometer reading. The Bureau of Transportation Statistics places that intermodal ramp 3.5 miles south-west of town, so tell us where the tractor is parked relative to it, then send photos.
- I cannot find the Ohio title for my tractor; is a sale off the table? Not off the table: ask Ohio’s title agency for a replacement title before the sale; the truck changes hands on the title. Tell us when you start the request and we can line up the collection for when it arrives.
- Is a tanker loading at the Columbus East racks something you take?Tankers from those racks are on our list. The Energy Information Administration lists two COLUMBUS EAST petroleum product terminals 4.4 and 4.5 miles from town. Send the VIN, tank details and any test certificates with your photos.
