Freight, produce and moving vans out of Allen
FMCSA’s carrier census shows 319 active carriers with an Allen address, and 239 of them list general freight among what they haul. If your tractor or straight truck pulled mixed freight for one of those outfits, have the title and current registration in your name ready; those are the first things we ask to see.
Paper products appear on 44 Allen carrier registrations, fresh produce on 43 and household goods on 42, according to the same FMCSA census. A reefer unit, a moving van or a dry box that served those loads is something we buy; send the VIN, a photo of the body and the trailer or box length so we know what we are looking at.
Of the Allen carriers in that census, 148 run interstate, 168 stay within Texas and 55 operate as private fleets hauling their own goods. Tell us which of those applies to your truck and send a photo of its current plate and cab card.
Owner-operators and small fleets
On FMCSA’s carrier census, the three biggest fleets based in this city run 60, 50 and 20 power units, each with the same number of drivers. Most outfits here are smaller than that, so if you are selling one tractor or three, the paperwork is the same: a title for each unit and a name we can reach.
New carriers keep registering in Allen: FMCSA records 31 that started in 2025 and 29 in 2024. If you opened your authority recently and are now letting a truck go, keep your USDOT number handy so the unit can be matched to your registration.
Allen carriers report 1,219 drivers who stay within 100 miles and 1,937 who go beyond it, on FMCSA’s census. A truck that runs long hauls may be parked out of state when you decide to sell; give us the city and lot where it sits, and we arrange collection there.
Miles and model years in Collin County

Between August 2024 and August 2026, inspectors stopped 176 trucks belonging to Allen outfits, and FMCSA roadside inspection records give their median model year as 2020, with 17.61 percent at ten years or older. Whatever year your truck is, include it with the make and model in your first message.
