Richmond Material Co and the pit road south
Drive 12.2 miles south from Cinco Ranch and you reach Richmond Material Co, whose sand and gravel pit the Mine Safety and Health Administration tracks. A dump truck or end-dump tractor that runs between that pit and Fort Bend job sites can be collected from your yard, your street or the pit gate. Tell us which of those it is and who holds the key.
Have the Texas title signed by every owner named on it before pickup, and photograph the bed, the hoist and the cab so we know which body is on the chassis. If the truck is registered to a company rather than to you, include the name of the person who can sign for it.
The Hockley mine and plant
Sixteen miles north, MSHA records place both the Hockley Mine, an industrial-mineral operation at 16.2 miles, and the Hockley Plant, a sand and gravel site at 16.3 miles. Tractors and tri-axle dumps that shuttle from those two gates toward Fort Bend construction sites belong on the list of what we purchase.
If your truck is parked up near Hockley rather than at home in Cinco Ranch, give us that address. We arrange the collection where it stands, and a contact who can open the gate saves a second trip out there.
Fuel terminals twenty-odd miles east
According to the Energy Information Administration, one petroleum product terminal, an RP truck terminal, sits 21.1 miles east of Cinco Ranch and a second lies 22.2 miles out. Tank tractors loading at racks like those are trucks we buy, with or without the trailer.
A liquid bulk terminal 22.5 miles east also appears in the Bureau of Transportation Statistics port facility listings. For a fuel or chemical hauler, send the VIN, the odometer reading and any hazmat endorsement paperwork tied to the unit, plus photos of the fifth wheel and the tank connections if a trailer comes with it.
Eureka Yard and the yard to the north-east
Two rail yards sit within about twenty miles: one 19.6 miles to the north-east, and Eureka Yard, 20 miles due east, both drawn from the North American Rail Network kept by the Federal Railroad Administration and BTS. Day cabs that dray boxes or transload freight off those yards can be sold from wherever they park between runs.
When you contact us about a drayage tractor, say which yard it served and whether it is parked at a lot near the rail or back home in Fort Bend County. If it sits on someone else’s lot, the lot owner’s name lets us set the collection up with them.
Cattle, rice and cotton in Fort Bend County
Cattle lead, then rice and cotton, across the 1,233 Fort Bend County farms tallied in USDA’s 2022 Census of Agriculture. Grain trucks, cattle haulers and the tractors that pull module and bulk trailers off those farms are all trucks we take.
A farm truck may carry farm plates instead of commercial registration, so photograph the plate and the registration sticker along with the title. If the truck sits in a field or barn outside town, a pin dropped on a map is enough for us to find it.
Builders and distributors close to home
Of the 1,709 jobs located in Cinco Ranch in 2023, 77 were construction posts and 59 sat in wholesale trade, by the Census Bureau’s LEHD job counts. Those trades keep box trucks, flatbeds, dump trucks and stake-beds around the neighbourhood, and any of them can be sold to us from the place it is parked.
Across 64 bridges, the National Bridge Inventory lists no load-posted spans and none under 14 feet in the Cinco Ranch area. That means you can tell us the route in and out of your driveway without worrying about a weight or height limit along the way.
