Trucking outfits on Henderson’s books
FMCSA’s carrier census lists 227 active carriers based in Henderson, and 157 of them are registered to haul only inside Texas while 70 cross state lines. If your authority is intrastate, the truck is most likely parked somewhere in East Texas, and that is where we come to it. Give us the yard address and a name to ask for at the gate.
Of those 227 Henderson carriers, the federal carrier census shows 85 operating as private fleets that move their own goods rather than freight for hire. A truck that belonged to a business of that kind often sits on the business’s own lot. Tell us whether the title is in the company’s name or yours, and have whoever signs for the company on hand when we collect.
Drivers are split, by the same FMCSA census, with 369 Henderson drivers working within 100 miles of base and 291 going farther. A tractor that runs long routes may be away when you decide to sell; tell us where it will be parked next and we plan around that spot.
Timber and oil
Logs, lumber and oilfield loads
Sixty Henderson carriers list logs, poles, beams and lumber as cargo on their FMCSA registrations, and 51 list oilfield equipment. Log trucks and the tractors that pull pole trailers are trucks we buy, along with winch and bed trucks from the oilfield side. Send photos of the bunks, the stakes or the winch along with the cab and the frame.
The Census Bureau’s LEHD job counts for 2023 put 316 Henderson jobs in mining, quarrying and oil and gas extraction, which is 4.7 percent of the 6,664 total. If your truck worked lease roads or well sites, it may still be parked out at a pad or a contractor’s yard; send us directions and tell us if the gate is locked.
Machinery and large objects appear on 66 Henderson registrations in FMCSA’s census. Lowboys, step decks and the heavy tractors that pull them fall in that group. Measure or note the trailer length and axle count, and tell us whether the tractor and trailer are being sold together or apart.
Half the East Texas rigs stopped date from 2015 or before
Across 257 trucks inspected from Henderson carriers between September 2024 and August 2026, FMCSA roadside inspection records show a median model year of 2015. Whatever year yours is, put it in your first message along with the VIN, the make and the engine.
Of those 257 Henderson trucks pulled over for roadside checks, FMCSA’s records put 56.4 percent at ten or more model years old. Older or newer, the steps are the same: the title, the registration and any service records you kept, plus photos of all four sides.
Sand, gravel and the Troup plant
The Mine Safety and Health Administration lists A & T Sand and Gravel about 19.6 miles north of Henderson and the Troup Plant, a mineral processing site, 19.3 miles to the west. Dump trucks and end dumps that load at pits like these are on our list. If the truck is parked at a pit, tell us which entrance to use and who on site can show us to it.
County Business Patterns from the Census Bureau count 36 construction establishments in the Henderson area, and the LEHD job counts place 132 construction jobs in town. A contractor’s dump truck or flatbed can be collected from the job site or the shop, whichever is easier; have the registration and the keys together.
The LeTourneau yards
Two rail yards, LeTourneau South at 20.2 miles north and LeTourneau Southeast at 20.4 miles to the north-east, appear in the North American Rail Network kept by the Federal Railroad Administration and the Bureau of Transportation Statistics. A tractor that shuttles loads between Henderson and those yards may be parked up that way. Send the closest cross street with your photos.
Manufacturing carries 915 of Henderson’s jobs, 13.7 percent, according to the Census Bureau’s LEHD figures, and wholesale trade another 361. Box trucks and tractors that serve plants and warehouses often carry a company title; check that the name on it matches the business selling the truck before we arrive.
Cattle and nursery farms in Rusk County
USDA’s 2022 Census of Agriculture counts 1,309 farms in Rusk County, with cattle, foliage plants and potted flowering plants at the top of the list. Cattle haulers, farm flatbeds and the straight trucks that move nursery stock all qualify. A farm truck is often parked in a pasture or a barn; tell us whether a truck with a trailer can reach it in wet weather.
If a farm truck has been in the family a long time, the title can go missing. The state’s title agency issues a replacement title; start that request before you contact us, so the paperwork is in hand at collection.
Startup authorities and three-dozen-truck yards
The FMCSA carrier census records 20 carriers starting up in Henderson in 2025 and 11 in 2024. If yours is one of the newer authorities and you are closing it or trimming a truck, tell us whether the truck is still under a lease or a lien so we can plan the title transfer.
Henderson’s three biggest fleets on the FMCSA census run 34, 33 and 27 power units. Whether you are selling one truck or several, a list of the VINs and where each is parked lets us plan the collection in one go.
Henderson carriers that filed yearly mileage with FMCSA number 76, and their trucks log a median of 20,000 miles each. Note the odometer reading when you send photos, so what we see matches what you tell us.
