Hay and grain loads
Inez carriers that move feed, hay and farm supplies
Twenty-five active motor carriers are based around Inez in FMCSA’s carrier census, and twelve of them list grain, feed and hay as cargo. If your tractor pulled hopper or flatbed loads of hay out of these fields, send the VIN, the registration and a few photos of the cab, the trailer coupling and the tires, and we will ask what we need from there.
Seven of those Inez carriers also list farm supplies, according to the same federal census. A truck that ran fertilizer or seed between ranch gates and Victoria may still be sitting in a barn lot off a county road; give us the gate details and a phone number for whoever holds the key.
Cattle, corn and cotton head the commodity list for the 1,412 farms that USDA’s 2022 Census of Agriculture counts in Victoria County. Straight trucks and tractors from that farm work are part of what we buy, and a seller here can hand over the sale paperwork at the farm itself.
Lease-road haulers
Oilfield equipment haulers and the Victoria petroleum terminal
Nine Inez-area carriers in FMCSA’s census declare oilfield equipment as cargo, and eleven declare general freight. Winch trucks, flatbeds and day cabs from that line of work can be collected from a lease road or a yard, so tell us where the unit is parked rather than moving it yourself.
The Energy Information Administration places the VICTORIA petroleum product terminal about 12.5 miles west of Inez, and the Bureau of Transportation Statistics lists Victoria Terminal, a liquid bulk facility, 16.3 miles south-west. If your tanker or tractor served those sites, keep any site access records or inspection sheets with the title so the truck’s working history travels with it.
Local routes, private fleets and where the truck sleeps
Twenty-two of the 25 carriers here run intrastate only and three cross state lines, FMCSA’s carrier census shows, with nine operating as private fleets for their own goods. Most trucks from Inez therefore stay registered in Texas, and that Texas title is the main document we will ask you for.
Drivers tied to these carriers split 95 within a hundred-mile radius and 25 beyond it, per the same census. A tractor on a long run may be parked at a customer lot far from Victoria County when you decide to sell; we can arrange pickup there if you share the address.
Among seven carriers reporting annual mileage to FMCSA, the median is 30,000 miles per truck. Have the current odometer reading ready when you call, alongside the VIN, since those two numbers start every conversation we have about a truck.
From a big Inez yard down to one-truck owner-operators
The biggest carrier based near Inez runs 64 power units with 75 drivers in FMCSA’s census, followed by fleets of 13 and 6 units. Whether you are selling one tractor or several from a yard of that size, list each unit’s VIN and where it is parked so collection can be planned truck by truck.
FMCSA roadside inspection records covering September 2024 to August 2026 logged 56 trucks from carriers here, with a median model year of 2013 and 67.9% of them ten or more years old. Older and newer models alike fit what we buy; a model year and a set of clear photos are what we need to begin.
The Bridge Street tax office in Victoria handles Inez titles
Texas Department of Motor Vehicles titles reach Inez sellers through the county tax assessor-collector offices rather than a state counter. For Inez owners the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles lists the Victoria County Tax Office at 205 N Bridge St., Ste 101, Victoria, 77901, about 14.1 miles from town, which is where to start if the title has gone missing.
If a lienholder still appears on the title, bring the release letter to that Bridge Street office along with your ID. A clean title in the seller’s name lets the sale close at the truck’s location without a second trip.
Rail, port and pits
Bloomington rail yard, the port and the gravel plants
South of Inez by 15.7 miles, the BLOOMINGTON rail yard appears on the North American Rail Network maintained by the Federal Railroad Administration and the Bureau of Transportation Statistics, and the FORMOSA yard sits 17.6 miles east. The Bureau of Transportation Statistics also lists the Victoria port 12.3 miles south-west and the General Cargo Dock intermodal ramp 21.4 miles south-east, so a container chassis or day cab working those ramps can be collected near where it last dropped a load.
Two sand and gravel operations show up in Mine Safety and Health Administration records: the Briggs Plant 16.4 miles south-west and the Kyle Plant 20 miles west. Dump trucks and end-dump tractors from those pits are trucks we buy; a photo of the bed and the hydraulic hoist helps us understand the setup.
A builder or contractor in Inez retiring a dump truck or flatbed can start the sale with the title and the plate number.
