Havana pit belt
Stone and gravel pits along the western roads
La Havana Pit, a crushed-stone quarry the Mine Safety and Health Administration lists 8.4 miles west of La Blanca, is the closest of four aggregate sites on that side of town. A dump truck or end-dump tractor that has hauled out of that pit can be collected from the yard where it sits; send us the address and the gate contact.
Farther out, Texan Pit (sand and gravel, 15.4 miles west) and Perales Pit (17.2 miles north-west) appear in Mine Safety and Health Administration listings alongside Portable Crusher #2 at 13.6 miles. If your truck runs between these sites, photograph the bed, the hoist and the cab, and keep the VIN plate in one shot so we can match the paperwork.
Tank and box loads
Edinburg’s fuel terminal and the Donna ramp
Edinburg’s petroleum product terminal, 8.9 miles up the road north-west of La Blanca, is on the Energy Information Administration’s terminal list. Tankers and tractors that load there are trucks we buy; list the trailer type you pulled and keep any terminal access records with the title.
To the south-west, the Donna, TX - Rio Valley rail intermodal ramp lies 9.5 miles out, according to the Bureau of Transportation Statistics. A day cab that has worked container moves off that ramp can stay parked near Donna while you handle the sale by phone and photos.
East toward the coast, the North American Rail Network, kept by the Federal Railroad Administration and the Bureau of Transportation Statistics, shows two Harlingen rail yard entries about 21 miles from town. Tractors that shuttle freight to Harlingen can be picked up there or in La Blanca, whichever suits you.
Valley fields
Cotton, corn and cattle around La Blanca
Around La Blanca, farm work is spread across 2,045 farms in Hidalgo County, according to USDA’s 2022 Census of Agriculture, with cotton, corn and cattle as the leading products. Grain trucks, module haulers and livestock trailers from that work all fit what we buy.
A farm truck often sits at a barn or field gate rather than a street address. Give us directions or a pin drop, tell us whether the ground is passable after rain, and have the title and registration in the owner’s name ready.
Spans near the Valley
Bridge clearances on the routes out of town
Of 13 bridges near La Blanca in the National Bridge Inventory kept by the Federal Highway Administration, 2 carry a posted load limit and none clears under fourteen feet. Tell us the gross weight of the truck and any trailer, and we plan the pickup roads with the two posted crossings in mind.
If your truck is loaded heavy or towing equipment when we collect it, mention that up front. The two weight-posted spans are the only ones the Federal Highway Administration’s inventory flags here, and knowing the gross weight lets us pick the right road.

FMCSA roadside inspection records from December 2024 to August 2026 cover 68 trucks tied to La Blanca, with a median model year of 2013 and about 74 percent ten or more years old. Trucks of every model year are welcome, so tell us the year, make and engine when you first contact us.
Keep any inspection reports you were handed at the roadside together with the truck. Add service records and a photo of the odometer, and the questions we ask about your tractor will be short.
Small job yards
La Blanca contractor trucks and business titles
La Blanca has 4 construction establishments on the Census Bureau’s County Business Patterns tally. Contractors who own a dump truck, a flatbed or a water truck from that work can sell it to us directly from the job yard.
If the truck is titled to a business, have the person who can sign for that business on hand, along with the company’s registration details. A missing title is replaced through the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles at county tax assessor-collector offices, and the Hidalgo County office is where an owner in La Blanca would start.
