Two stone quarries toward Rio Medina
Federal mine records kept by the Mine Safety and Health Administration place the FM 1283 crushed-stone quarry 8.7 miles south-east of Lake Medina Shores, with the Rio Medina crushed-stone quarry at 10 miles on the same bearing. A dump truck or end-dump tractor that hauls aggregate from either one is a truck we collect, and it can stay parked at the yard or at your home while we arrange it.
If your rig spends its days between those two quarries, write down which one it worked and roughly how long. Have the title, the current Texas registration and any service log in one folder, then send us a set of photos taken in daylight from all four sides plus the cab.
Sand and gravel up the Bandera road
North-west of town, at 8.9 miles, the Mine Safety and Health Administration lists Bandera Pit as a sand and gravel operation; further up, 19.5 miles due north, it lists the Bedrock Plant doing the same work. Gravel trucks and belly-dump trailers that run those roads fall squarely within what we take.
Tell us whether your truck is at one of those pits or back at the lake when you reach out. A gate code, a contact at the scale house or a note about the access road lets us plan collection around where the truck actually sits.
Cut stone, north-east
Stone Source and flatbed hauling
Stone Source, a dimension-stone quarry, appears in Mine Safety and Health Administration listings 23.9 miles north-east of Lake Medina Shores. Cut slabs and blocks generally leave on flatbeds and stake trucks, and both are vehicles we purchase from owners around the lake.
When you contact us about a flatbed from that run, include the VIN, the deck length and a photo of the data plate on the door jamb. Those three details answer most of what we would otherwise have to ask you.
Goats, cattle, horses
Cattle, goats and horses around the shoreline
Around Lake Medina Shores, ranch ground dominates: USDA’s 2022 Census of Agriculture counts 723 farms in Bandera County and ranks cattle, goats and equine as its leading products there. Livestock haulers, gooseneck tow trucks and feed trucks that serve those operations are all welcome here.
A stock truck often lives at the ranch rather than in town, so give us the ranch road and say whether a pickup can reach the pen or barn where it is parked. If the title is in a ranch or family name, tell us who signs, so the right person is there when we arrive.
Dump and water trucks off the building jobs
County Business Patterns counts two dozen construction establishments in the county that takes in Lake Medina Shores, and their dump trucks, water trucks and flatbeds are as much our business as a quarry tractor is.
For a contractor’s truck, the paperwork that matters is the title in the business name and proof of who can sign for the company. A copy of the registration and any DOT inspection sheets rounds it out.
Seven point eight miles to Bandera
Lost paperwork for a lake truck goes to Bandera
The Texas Department of Motor Vehicles handles titles through county tax assessor-collector offices, and for this lake community that is the Bandera County Tax Office at 1212 Hackberry St, Bandera, 78003, about 7.8 miles from town. If the title has gone missing, that office is where a certified copy is requested.
Bring photo ID and the VIN when you go, and if a lender was once listed, bring the lien release too. Start that errand before you call us; we can still look at the truck while the replacement is on its way.
