If your tractor pulls a log trailer or a pole trailer, tell us which trailer goes with it and whether you want to sell the pair together or the tractor alone.
Timber trucks here often sit at a woodlot, a landing or a yard outside town rather than at a street address. Send us the location as GPS coordinates or road directions, plus photos of the cab, the frame and the bunks, and we arrange collection at that spot.
Eight Linden carriers also report general freight in the FMCSA carrier census, so a box truck or dry-van tractor is just as welcome as a log rig. Have the VIN and the odometer reading ready when you call.
Hauling near the Sidco Minerals siderite mine
A dump truck or tractor that has worked that site can be collected from the mine road or from your own yard, whichever suits you.
If the truck works inside a site with gated access, tell us the gate rules and who signs us in before pickup day. Send any site inspection sheets or service logs you have kept along with the photos.
Jefferson’s two rail yards down the road
South of Linden, the North American Rail Network maintained by the Federal Railroad Administration and the Bureau of Transportation Statistics shows a Kansas City Southern yard at Jefferson 16.8 miles away and a Union Pacific yard there at 17 miles. Trucks that shuttle freight between Cass County and those Jefferson yards fall squarely within what we purchase.
If your tractor is parked near the Jefferson yards rather than in Linden, give us that address instead. Pickup happens wherever the tractor stands, in Jefferson or anywhere else in the county.
Livestock trailers, feed and hay haulers
Linden sits among 939 farms counted across Cass County in USDA’s 2022 Census of Agriculture, where cattle, horses and honey lead the list. A cattle pot, a horse trailer rig or a flatbed used for round bales is the kind of equipment we expect to see from this end of the county.
Six local carriers haul grain, feed and hay, and six more carry farm supplies, according to FMCSA’s carrier census. Farm trucks often stay parked in a pasture or a barn lot between seasons; a photo of the access gate and the ground the truck stands on helps us plan the visit.
Small owner fleets on Cass County roads
Linden’s biggest fleets in FMCSA’s carrier census run three power units apiece, and the next size down runs two. For a one- or two-truck operator, selling a tractor is a personal call, so we talk to the owner directly and work around the hauling schedule.
Fifteen of the town’s carriers run private fleets that move their own goods, while 14 hold interstate authority and 16 stay inside Texas, the FMCSA carrier census shows. Whether your truck crossed into Arkansas or never left Cass County, the paperwork we ask for is the same: title, registration and the cab card if you have one.
Have your current odometer reading on hand when you call so we can note it at the start.
Late-model or older, send the year, make and model up front so we know which tractor we are talking about.
Those same FMCSA roadside inspection records put 22 percent of inspected Linden trucks at ten or more model years old. An older tractor is bought the same way as a newer one: photos, the VIN and the title are what we need.
Courthouse town
The Texas Department of Motor Vehicles handles titles through county tax assessor-collector offices, and Linden’s is the Cass County Tax Office at 604 Hwy 8, Linden, 75563, about a mile from the center of town. If your title is missing, that is the counter where a replacement starts.
Bring photo ID and the VIN, and if a lender held the truck, the lien release. Once the replacement title is in hand, send us a photo of both sides along with the registration so the sale can go ahead.
