Sell your semi truck for cash in Lone Star the easy and convenient way

Lone Star sits in Morris County beside the LONESTAR STEEL rail yard, with log haulers, oilfield rigs and general freight trucks working out toward Mount Pleasant and the siderite mine to the east.

Mill siding

Flatbeds off the LONESTAR STEEL siding

North-east of Lone Star by 5.3 miles, the LONESTAR STEEL rail yard shows up on the North American Rail Network that the Federal Railroad Administration and the Bureau of Transportation Statistics maintain. A flatbed or lowboy that has hauled from that siding may be parked close to it now, and we collect from wherever it stands, so give us the lot address and how a tow rig gets in.

Mount Pleasant has its own rail yard 21.3 miles north-west, also on the North American Rail Network. If your tractor splits its weeks between the two yards, tell us which one it sits at on the day you contact us, and send photos of the deck, the fifth wheel and the cab.

Lumber and rigs

Sixteen carriers, logs and oilfield loads

Sixteen active carriers list a Lone Star address in FMCSA’s carrier census, and five of them name logs, poles, beams and lumber as cargo, the same count that names general freight. Log trucks and pole trailers from those outfits are trucks we buy, so tell us the axle setup and whether the loader or bunks come with the sale.

Machinery and large objects appear for three of those sixteen carriers, and oilfield equipment for another three, according to the federal carrier census. If yours is a winch truck or a heavy-haul tractor that has worked rigs, list the attached equipment and have the registration and any annual inspection reports in the cab when we arrive.

Twelve Texas-only carriers and seven private haulers

In FMCSA’s census, twelve of the town’s carriers run intrastate only, three cross state lines, and seven operate as private fleets hauling their own goods. A private-fleet truck may carry a company name on the door; that is fine, but the person signing must be the one on the title or hold written authority from that business.

One Lone Star registration in FMCSA’s carrier census covers 57 power units and 48 drivers, while FMCSA lists the next two at six units and two. Whether you are selling one tractor from a large fleet or the only truck a two-person outfit owns, we handle each VIN on its own, so send the VIN and the odometer reading for every unit you want gone.

That census also shows 13 drivers working inside a 100-mile radius of Lone Star and 53 driving past it. A long-haul unit may be out on a run when you first call, so tell us the date it returns to Morris County and we will plan collection around it.

Late-model tractors stopped near Lone Star

Fifty-one Lone Star carrier trucks were stopped between October 2024 and August 2026, and their median model year in FMCSA roadside inspection records is 2023. Have the model year, engine make and VIN on hand when you reach us; those three answer most of our first questions about a late-model tractor.

Of those 51 inspected trucks, 7.84 percent were ten or more model years old, on the same inspection records. An older unit sells the same way as a new one: clear title, registration, keys, and a handful of daylight photos from all four sides.

A tax office six miles up in Daingerfield

The Texas Department of Motor Vehicles handles titles through county tax assessor-collector offices, and for Lone Star that is the Morris County Tax Office at 500 Broadnax, Ste 1, Daingerfield, 75638, 6.6 miles from town. If the title has gone missing, start a certified copy there before we schedule pickup.

A lien recorded on the Texas title needs a release from the lender before the truck can change hands. Ask the Daingerfield tax office what form fits your case, and keep the release letter with the title so both travel together on collection day.

Wholesale and pasture

Wholesale, manufacturing and cattle around town

Lone Star counted 280 jobs in 2023 on the Census Bureau’s LEHD job counts, with wholesale trade at 87 of them and manufacturing at 61. Box trucks and straight trucks from distribution work are on our list too; tell us the body length and whether a liftgate is fitted.

Out across Morris County, 335 farms appear in USDA’s 2022 Census of Agriculture, and cattle, honey and goats lead their listed products. A livestock hauler or ranch flatbed parked on a pasture can be collected right there; just give us the gate code or a phone number for whoever opens it.

Fuel and mining

Mount Pleasant terminals and the Sidco mine

Up the road toward Mount Pleasant, the Energy Information Administration records a pair of MT PLEASANT petroleum product terminals, one 20.3 and one 21.9 miles north-west of Lone Star. A fuel tractor that has loaded at either one should come with its hazmat placarding history and tank test paperwork if you still hold them.

East of town, the Mine Safety and Health Administration lists the Sidco Minerals Siderite Mine 22.3 miles out. Dump trucks or haul tractors that have worked that site can stay where they are; send us the location and a contact on site, and we arrange the rest.
