South of the village
Eagle Sand & Gravel and the pits to the south-east
Eagle Sand & Gravel, which the Mine Safety and Health Administration lists as a sand and gravel operation, lies 5.1 miles south of Panorama Village. A dump truck or end-dump tractor that hauls aggregate out of a pit that close is often parked at home between loads, and that driveway is a fine place for us to pick it up. Send the VIN, a few photos of the bed and the cab, and the address where it sits.
A second pit, the 1362 (32) Route 242 Plant, is listed by the Mine Safety and Health Administration 13 miles to the south-east. If your truck runs between the two sites, tell us which one it is at on most weekdays; collecting it at a plant gate works as long as someone there can let us in and you say so ahead of time.
Mineral plants toward Conroe and Dolen
Sixteen and a half miles to the south-east, the Conroe Dryer Plant appears in Mine Safety and Health Administration listings as an industrial-mineral mine, and the Dolen Plant, another industrial-mineral site in those listings, is 24.6 miles due east. Bulk tractors and service trucks that work sites like these can be sold from wherever they are based.
If a truck you own is kept on a plant lot rather than at your house, give us the name of the person who controls the gate and any site safety rules for visitors. With that in hand we arrange the collection around the plant’s hours instead of asking you to move the truck back to the village.
The Lloyd yard south of the village
The North American Rail Network, kept by the Federal Railroad Administration and the Bureau of Transportation Statistics, shows a rail yard called Lloyd 23.3 miles south of Panorama Village. Day cabs that shuttle freight to and from a yard like that often spend nights near the tracks rather than in town.
Should your tractor be parked down by Lloyd, leave it there. Give us the street location, the trailer status (dropped or still hooked) and a phone number for whoever is on site, and we plan the pickup there.
Cattle, horses and mushroom growers
Around the village, Montgomery County counted 1,299 farms in USDA’s 2022 Census of Agriculture, with cattle, equine operations and mushrooms ranked as its top products. Stock trailers, flatbeds that move hay, and one-ton pickups built for towing a horse trailer all come out of farms of that mix.
A ranch truck often has its papers tucked away in a farmhouse drawer rather than in the cab. Before you reach out, find the title and the current registration, and if the truck carries farm plates, mention that too, so we know which questions to ask about it.
A small job base inside the village limits
Owner-operators who keep one truck at home and work sites elsewhere in the county are welcome to sell to us from here.
If that describes you, the truck is probably in your own driveway or on a lot you rent. Either place is fine for a pickup; what helps most is a clear photo of the odometer, one of the data plate on the door, and your best phone number.
Texas titles are issued by the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles through county tax assessor-collector offices, and the one serving this village is the Montgomery County Tax Office at 400 N. San Jacinto St, Conroe, 77301, which the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles places 5.3 miles from town. A certified copy of a lost title is requested there.
Bring photo identification and the VIN when you go to the Conroe office. If a lender still shows on the title, ask the lienholder for a release letter as well and keep it with the title.
