Aggregate pits west of Redwood
Two Hunter gates under eight miles out
Westward from Redwood, Hunter Quarry crushes stone 7.6 miles out and Hunter Stone does the same at 7.8 miles, both on the Mine Safety and Health Administration’s register. A dump truck or end-dump tractor that hauls aggregate out of those two pits can be sold from the quarry yard itself; give us the gate location and the name of whoever controls access there.
Both Hunter sites sit under eight miles out, per that same federal mine register, so a truck parked at either one is close to town for our driver. Have the title in hand and photos of the bed, the cab and the VIN plate ready before you call, and tell us which of the two Hunter gates the truck sits behind.
Cement plants north and south-west
Texas-Lehigh to the north, Balcones to the south-west
Texas-Lehigh Cement Plant & Quarry lies 17.6 miles north of Redwood on the Mine Safety and Health Administration’s register, and the Balcones Plant, also a cement plant, is listed 19 miles south-west. Bulk pneumatic tankers and ready-mix trucks that load at either plant are part of what we buy, and we collect the truck where it is parked rather than asking you to bring it in.
If your rig rotates between Texas-Lehigh and Balcones, tell us which plant it will be parked near on the day you want it gone. Registration papers and any plant access or safety records you keep with the truck belong in the same message as the photos, alongside a note on the routes it ran.
Gravel at Solms, blocks at ROX
Solms and ROX further out
The Mine Safety and Health Administration places the Solms Operation, a sand and gravel site, 20.5 miles south-west of Redwood, and ROX, Inc., a dimension-stone quarry, 24.2 miles west. Flatbeds that carry cut stone blocks from ROX and tri-axle dumps that leave Solms with gravel both fit what we take.
A truck working out at Solms or at ROX can stay where it is. Send the address of the site or the yard, a contact who can open it, and pictures of the plate on the door jamb so the VIN on the title can be matched before pickup.
Fuel tractors north-east of Redwood
The Mustang Ridge fuel terminal
North-east of town, 20.9 miles away, the Energy Information Administration lists the Mustang Ridge Fuels Terminal as a petroleum product terminal. Tractors that pull fuel tank trailers in and out of that terminal belong on our list, and so do the day cabs that shuttle between it and the quarries west of Redwood.
For a fuel tractor, the VIN, the title and the name it is registered under are the first three things we ask for. If the trailer is staying with you and only the tractor is for sale, say so up front so the pickup is arranged for the tractor alone.
Site work and the trucks behind it in Redwood
Construction filled 99 of Redwood’s 229 jobs in 2023, a 43.2 percent slice, by the Census Bureau’s LEHD job counts (LODES). Contractors who run a dump truck, a water truck or a flatbed for site work around Redwood can sell it from the jobsite or from the shop lot where it is kept.
With construction holding 99 of those 229 positions in the Census Bureau’s LEHD figures, a contractor here may have more than one truck to let go. List each one with its VIN and tell us whether they are parked at the same address, and every title should be in the name of the business or person selling.
Cattle, corn and goats
Ranch and grain trucks across Guadalupe County
USDA’s 2022 Census of Agriculture counts 2,369 farms in Guadalupe County, with cattle, corn and goats as the top products. Livestock haulers, grain trucks and farm flatbeds kept on a ranch outside Redwood can be collected from the property; tell us which gate or barn the truck is at.
Farm trucks are often titled to a family member or the ranch itself, so check whose name the Guadalupe County farm truck’s title carries before you contact us. If that title has been lost, the state’s title agency issues the replacement, and having it in hand keeps the sale simple.
The questions we get asked in Redwood
- Can a dump truck sitting inside the Hunter Quarry gate be sold without moving it off site?Hunter Quarry is 7.6 miles west of Redwood on the Mine Safety and Health Administration’s list, and the truck can stay there; give us the gate and an on-site contact.
- Do you take cement tankers that load at Texas-Lehigh?Texas-Lehigh Cement Plant & Quarry, 17.6 miles north per MSHA records, is one of two cement plants near Redwood, and bulk tankers that serve it are trucks we collect.
- Whose office replaces a missing title on a Guadalupe County ranch truck?Guadalupe County’s 2,369 farms, as USDA’s 2022 Census of Agriculture counts them, run plenty of trucks titled long ago, and a missing title is replaced by the state’s title agency before the sale.
