Sell your semi truck for cash in Richmond the easy and convenient way

We buy all commercial trucks — sleeper trucks, day cabs, dump trucks, flatbeds, tankers and grain hauls.

Richmond sits on the Brazos River in Fort Bend County, with a gravel pit just east of town, intermodal ramps out toward Kendleton and fuel terminals to the east, and the trucks that work this stretch include dump trucks, flatbeds, day cabs and tractors that pull containers or tankers.

Selling a truck in Richmond? Tell us about it and we'll take it from there.

Gravel off the east side of Richmond

Richmond Material Co, a sand and gravel operation registered with the Mine Safety and Health Administration, lies 3.6 miles east of town. Dump trucks and end-dump trailers that load at a pit like this one are on our list, so tell us the body length, the axle count and whether the tailgate is air or manual when you first get in touch.

If the truck is still parked on the gravel lot rather than at your house, give us the gate hours and the name of whoever controls access there. A pickup at a working pit goes smoothly when the operator knows a collection is coming, so a call ahead from you settles it.

The Kendleton ramps to the south-west

Out toward Kendleton, the North American Rail Network maintained by the Federal Railroad Administration and the Bureau of Transportation Statistics places Kendleton Intermodal, a rail yard, 15.3 miles south-west of Richmond. Sleepers and day cabs pulling chassis off that yard are trucks we collect, and a photo of the fifth wheel with the VIN plate helps us match the tractor to its paperwork.

A separate listing from the Bureau of Transportation Statistics names the Kendleton rail intermodal ramp at 15.6 miles in the same direction. If the tractor sits in a drop lot near that ramp, send the lot address and the plate number, and keep the title and current Texas registration together so they can be handed over at collection.

Fuel and bulk terminals east of town

Energy Information Administration records place two petroleum product terminals east of Richmond, one at 21.8 miles and another at 22.7 miles. A tank truck or a tractor that pulled fuel trailers between those terminals belongs on the list we buy, and any tank inspection certificates you hold should travel with the title.

ExxonMobil’s liquid bulk terminal, 22.8 miles east, is listed by the Bureau of Transportation Statistics, and Eureka Yard, a rail yard 24.3 miles to the north-east, is on the North American Rail Network. When a truck that served either site is now parked somewhere else, tell us where it stands today; we collect from that spot, not from the terminal.

Flatbed, freight and lumber carriers on the Brazos

FMCSA’s carrier census counts 704 active motor carriers in Richmond, with 548 hauling general freight, 106 carrying machinery and large objects, 94 moving metal sheets, coils and rolls, and 90 hauling logs, poles, beams and lumber. Flatbeds, step decks and lowboy tractors fit that mix, and a photo of the deck and the securement points shows us what the trailer setup is.

Of those carriers, the federal census lists 381 as intrastate, 320 as interstate and 98 as private fleets. Interstate operators should bring the USDOT number and any IFTA or IRP paperwork tied to the truck, while a private fleet selling a unit needs only the title and someone authorised to sign it.

FMCSA’s carrier census logs 88 Richmond carriers that first registered in 2025, after 62 that signed up in 2024. If you started a one-truck operation recently and are now selling that truck, the title in your name or your company’s name is the document we need first.

Short-haul drivers and the ones who range far

Among drivers on Richmond carriers in FMCSA’s carrier census, 1,491 stay inside a 100-mile radius and 808 go past it. A truck on a long route may be parked far from Fort Bend County when you decide to sell, so give us the city it is in and we arrange collection there.

The 171 Richmond carriers that filed annual mileage with FMCSA put a median of 48,144 miles on each truck. Have the current odometer reading and the VIN ready; with those two figures and the title, we can start on your truck straight away.

The biggest fleet registered in Richmond with FMCSA runs 2,453 power units and 709 drivers, and the next two run 29 and 20 power units. Owners selling several units at once can send us a list of VINs with the yard address, and we plan one collection for the group.

The Brazos crossing and Fort Bend fields

Of the 26 bridges in and around Richmond in the National Bridge Inventory, none is load-posted, and one sits under 14 feet: westbound US 90A over the Brazos River, with 12ft 11in of clearance. If a tall rig is parked on the far bank, tell us so our driver routes around that crossing on the way to it.

Cattle, rice and cotton top the list for the 1,233 Fort Bend County farms in USDA’s 2022 Census of Agriculture. Livestock haulers, grain trucks and farm tractor-trailers kept on a ranch or field lot can be collected right there; a gate code and a phone number for the property are what we ask for.

Within Richmond itself, the Census Bureau’s LEHD job counts for 2023 show 3,755 jobs, including 92 in construction and 116 in manufacturing. A contractor’s dump truck or a plant’s straight truck sold by a business needs the company title and a signature from whoever is authorised to sign for it.
