Spearman’s carriers mostly move grain, feed and hay
Of the 67 active carriers FMCSA’s carrier census lists at Spearman, 47 say they haul grain, feed or hay. That points to hopper-bottom trailers, belly dumps and the tractors that pull them at harvest. If yours worked the elevators around town, tell us the trailer type and whether it sells with the tractor or on its own.
That same federal census shows 18 Spearman carriers moving farm supplies and 28 handling general freight, so plenty of the local equipment does double duty between seed, fertilizer and ordinary loads. Photograph the tractor and any trailer from all four sides, plus the cab interior and the VIN plate, and send them with your first message.
Livestock trailers and the tractors behind them
Fifteen Spearman outfits on the FMCSA roster list livestock as cargo. A pot trailer and its tractor often sit at a feedyard or a pasture gate rather than in town, and that is fine: give us the location and a phone number for whoever can open the gate.
Hansford County counted 137 farms in USDA’s 2022 Census of Agriculture, with corn, cotton and wheat at the top of the list. Trucks serving those operations may be parked on a farm well outside Spearman; send the road name or a pin drop so the pickup is planned to that exact spot.
Small outfits, local routes and private fleets
FMCSA’s registry counts 45 Spearman carriers that stay inside Texas, 22 that operate interstate, and 25 private fleets. A farmer’s own grain truck counts, so a private outfit selling one or two units is exactly who we buy from.
The three biggest local fleets in FMCSA’s census run 22, 12 and 8 power units, which leaves most Spearman operators with a handful of trucks. Whether you are selling one tractor or several, list each VIN and where each one is parked so they can be collected together.
Older model years are welcome here, so include the year, make and model when you write.
If you kept service invoices or inspection reports over those years, put them in a folder with the title; they show the truck’s history in a way photos cannot.
Construction accounts for 129 of the 1,103 jobs the Census Bureau’s LEHD job counts place at Spearman in 2023, with agriculture at 75 and wholesale trade at 67. Dump trucks, flatbeds and water trucks from those crews are trucks we buy as well as grain rigs.
If your truck worked a job site, say which equipment is mounted on it, such as a dump body or a crane, so the description matches what we find on arrival.
Replacing a missing Texas title from Spearman
A Texas title that has gone missing is replaced through the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles, which handles copies through county tax assessor-collector offices.
If a lender is still listed on the title, have the lien release from them with the paperwork. The registration, the title and the release together let the truck change hands cleanly when we arrive in Spearman.
