Aledo-side fuel rack
A petroleum terminal at the edge of town
The Energy Information Administration places a petroleum product terminal 1.9 miles south-east of Willow Park, on the Aledo side of town. If your truck is a fuel tanker or a tractor that pulls one in and out of that rack, tell us which terminal it loaded at and send the tank inspection paperwork with the title, since a tank sale turns on those records.
A second petroleum product terminal sits 18 miles east according to the same Energy Information Administration listing. If the tractor is kept at home in Willow Park between loads, give us the yard or driveway address and we will collect it from that spot rather than at either rack.
Three local carriers list liquids and gases as cargo and three list chemicals, per FMCSA’s carrier census. If your rig carried hazardous loads, have the hazmat registration and the most recent tank test dates ready when you send photos of the trailer plates.
Two pits, ten miles
Dump work from the Silver Creek pit
Two sand and gravel operations sit east of Willow Park, at 9.6 and 10.2 miles, on records kept by the Mine Safety and Health Administration. Dump trucks and end-dump tractors that haul from pits like these are trucks we buy, so send the bed, the hoist and the VIN plate in your photos.
Mining, quarrying and oil and gas extraction account for 222 jobs here, 8.1 percent of the 2,741 local jobs in the Census Bureau’s LEHD job counts for 2023, while construction counts 141. If your truck is still parked at a pit or a job site, tell us who controls the gate so we can arrange access for the pickup.
Eighteen local outfits
Tankers, freight and farm supply out of Willow Park
FMCSA’s carrier census shows 18 active carriers based in Willow Park, with 13 hauling general freight and three hauling farm supplies. Whatever the load was, the paperwork we ask for is the same: the Texas title, current registration, and any service records you have kept.
Of those carriers, 12 run intrastate only, six cross state lines and eight are private fleets moving their own goods, according to the federal carrier census. An intrastate truck that never left Texas still needs its title in the seller’s name; if the name differs, tell us early so the transfer can be lined up.
Carrier sizes run wide: one Willow Park fleet registers 1,152 power units and 808 drivers, while the next two list nine and five power units, in FMCSA’s census. Whether you are selling one tractor or several from a small operation, send a list of VINs and where each truck is parked.
Local radius or beyond
Sleepers on long lanes from a Parker County base
Federal carrier census figures count 32 drivers here working within 100 miles of base and 821 operating beyond that radius. A sleeper that spends weeks on the road can be collected wherever it ends up between trips, so give us its current location instead of bringing it home.
New registrations continue in small numbers: FMCSA’s census records four new carriers in 2024 and two in 2025. If you are a newer operator selling your first truck, keep the bill of sale or lease payoff letter from when you bought it with the title.
Rail and bases east
Rail yards and installations to the east
The North American Rail Network, maintained by the Federal Railroad Administration and the Bureau of Transportation Statistics, places the Davidson (Centennial) yard 15.7 miles east and the Saginaw yard 17.9 miles east. A day cab that shuttles freight to those yards can be collected from the lot where it is parked; tell us whether the lot needs an appointment.
To the east the Bureau of Transportation Statistics also lists Air Force Plant 4 at 11.7 miles and a second military installation at Shoreview, 11.3 miles out. If your truck is parked inside a secured site, a gate pass or an escort contact is the one thing to arrange before the collection date.
Horses, cattle, one posted span
Ranch rigs and the bridge posted for weight
Of the 18 bridges the National Bridge Inventory records in Willow Park, one is load-posted and none sit under 14 feet. Tell us the route to where the truck is parked if it crosses the posted bridge, so the tow truck is matched to it.
USDA’s 2022 Census of Agriculture counts 4,379 farms across Parker County, led by equine, cattle and sheep operations. Livestock haulers, horse-trailer rigs and ranch flatbeds parked on a property out in the county can be picked up there; send directions to the barn or gate along with your photos.
The questions we get asked in Willow Park
- My tanker is parked by the fuel terminal south-east of town. Does it have to be driven to Willow Park first? That terminal sits 1.9 miles south-east of Willow Park on the Energy Information Administration’s listing, and the truck can stay where it is. Pass along the rack’s address and the name of whoever controls that lot near Aledo.
- Do you buy dump trucks that haul from the sand and gravel pits east of town? The Mine Safety and Health Administration lists two sand and gravel operations 9.6 and 10.2 miles east of Willow Park, and dump trucks working pits like those are part of what we purchase. With the Texas title, include pictures showing the dump body raised on its hoist.
- My truck is on a ranch in Parker County, not in town. Is a ranch gate out in the county somewhere you collect from?Parker County holds 4,379 farms in USDA’s 2022 Census of Agriculture, and trucks parked on any of them can be collected on site. Send the ranch address and directions to where the truck sits.
- I lost the title on a truck kept in Willow Park. Which office issues the replacement before a sale? For a truck titled in Texas, have the title in your name, current registration and any service or inspection records; if the title is lost, the Texas title agency handles a replacement before the sale.
