The Waco Plant and the pits nearby
According to the Mine Safety and Health Administration, the Waco Plant, a cement plant, lies 1.3 miles south-west of Woodway. If your mixer, bulk tanker or dump truck has worked that site, a note of which loads it carried there helps us read the photos you send.
Mine Service Ltd., a sand and gravel operation, is 3.6 miles north-west of town on the Mine Safety and Health Administration’s list, and Loredo’s Excavation & Hauling LLC is 6.6 miles east. A dump truck parked at either yard can stay there; give us the gate contact and the hours someone can let us in.
Crushed stone north and west of Woodway
Horseshoe Bend Sand Supply, which the Mine Safety and Health Administration records as a crushed-stone quarry, is 11.8 miles north. Crawford Mine & Mill, another quarry the Mine Safety and Health Administration lists, is 12.7 miles west toward Crawford.
Tri-axle dumps and end-dump trailers that run stone out of those two quarries should come to us with the title in hand and the registration current. Photos of the bed, the hoist and the cab, taken where the truck sits, let us plan the collection without a trip to look first.
Terminals and the Bellmead yard to the north-east
Two petroleum product terminals listed by the Energy Information Administration, the WACO terminal and Flint Hills Resources LP-Waco, sit 8.8 and 8.9 miles north-east of Woodway. If your tanker loaded at one of them, keep any terminal or hazmat paperwork with the truck and send copies along with the VIN.
The Bellmead rail yard is 10.3 miles north-east on the North American Rail Network kept by the Federal Railroad Administration and the Bureau of Transportation Statistics. A day cab that shuttled trailers to and from Bellmead can be collected from wherever it is parked in that corner of the county.
Freight, machinery and lumber haulers on Woodway’s roster
FMCSA’s carrier census shows 45 active carriers based in Woodway, 33 of them hauling general freight, 9 moving machinery and large objects, 7 carrying farm supplies and 7 hauling logs, poles, beams or lumber. Tell us which of those your truck did and send photos of the trailer it pulled, whether a lowboy, a flatbed or a dry van.
Of those carriers, the same federal census lists 36 as intrastate, 9 as interstate and 16 as private fleets. Six new carriers registered in 2025 and four in 2024 under FMCSA’s records. If you are an owner-operator closing out your authority, have your USDOT number ready along with the title so the sale lines up with your filings.
Fleet sizes and yearly miles here
One Woodway carrier runs 17 power units with 17 drivers, another 8 power units with 16 drivers, and a third 7 power units with 3 drivers, by FMCSA’s carrier census. A fleet selling several units at once can send one list of VINs and one address per truck, and we will work through them together.
Across the 13 Woodway carriers that filed mileage, FMCSA’s carrier census puts the median at 20,000 miles a truck each year. Give us the odometer reading as shown on the dash; it goes on the paperwork alongside the VIN.

The questions we get asked in Woodway
- My dump truck sits at the Loredo’s gravel yard east of Woodway; does it have to leave there first?Loredo’s Excavation & Hauling LLC, 6.6 miles east on the Mine Safety and Health Administration’s list, is the kind of yard we collect from directly. Name the yard’s owner and the person holding the gate key, and the pickup is arranged at the pit.

- Will you take a cattle or milk truck off a McLennan County farm?McLennan County’s 3,140 farms in USDA’s 2022 Census of Agriculture lean on cattle, corn and milk, and the trucks that haul them are ones we buy. Send the VIN, the title and photos taken at the farm.
