Leesburg Plant and Chantilly stone, both close by
The Mine Safety and Health Administration lists the Leesburg Plant, a crushed-stone quarry, 4.5 miles north-west of Moorefield. A dump truck or tri-axle that hauls aggregate out of Leesburg may be parked at the plant, at a job site or at your yard; give us whichever address it will be sitting at and we arrange collection there.
Due south, the Mine Safety and Health Administration places Chantilly Crushed Stone Incorporated 5.3 miles from Moorefield’s centre. If your truck hauls from both Chantilly and Leesburg, tell us both, and send photos of the bed, the tailgate and the cab.
Tank trucks on the Manassas and Fairfax runs
South of Moorefield, the Energy Information Administration records a petroleum product terminal at Manassas, 13.6 miles away, and another at Fairfax, 15.6 miles to the south-east. Tankers and tractors that load at those racks are welcome here; let us know which rack the unit worked from and whether the tank or trailer goes with it.
Have the tank’s inspection paperwork and the tractor’s service records together before you call. With the Fairfax and Manassas racks so close, a tanker may well be loaded or staged at one of them, so tell us where it will be empty and reachable on the day we come.
Norfolk Southern TBT and the routes east
Norfolk Southern TBT, a liquid bulk terminal 23.8 miles south-east of Moorefield, appears in Bureau of Transportation Statistics listings. A tractor that shuttles to that terminal could be left near it or back in Loudoun; both locations work for a pickup, as long as you name the one.
Listed by the Bureau of Transportation Statistics, the Air Force Office of Scientific Research and the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency are military installations 22.2 miles east of town. Box trucks and straight trucks that deliver toward those installations are on our list as well; start by sending the VIN and the odometer reading.
Loudoun farm trucks: livestock, grain and horses
Loudoun County had 1,332 farms in USDA’s 2022 Census of Agriculture, and cattle, corn and equine led its farm output. Livestock haulers, grain trucks and horse-trailer tractors from those operations belong on our list, and many of them sit on the farm itself between seasons.
A farm truck is often titled to the farm or to a family member rather than to the driver. Check whose name the title carries before you contact us, and have the registration with it; if the title is lost, start a replacement with the state’s title agency, since collection waits on that paper.
Selling a truck from Moorefield itself
Work located in Moorefield came to 635 jobs in 2023 on the Census Bureau’s LEHD job counts, and the trucks behind that work can be collected from wherever they are kept. Whatever truck one of those jobs depends on, from a pickup-sized service truck to a tractor, we come to the address where it is kept.
Before we schedule, gather the title, current registration, any service or inspection records and a handful of clear photos from all four sides. Those four things settle almost every question we would otherwise ask by phone.
The questions we get asked in Moorefield
- Will you collect a dump truck that works the Leesburg or Chantilly quarry? The Leesburg Plant is 4.5 miles from Moorefield and Chantilly Crushed Stone is 5.3 miles, per the Mine Safety and Health Administration, and we collect at either quarry, a job site or your yard. Give us the address and a contact for gate access.
- Do you buy tankers that load at Manassas or Fairfax? Those two petroleum product terminals, 13.6 and 15.6 miles from town on Energy Information Administration records, are exactly the work we expect a local tanker to do. Send the tank inspection papers and tell us where the unit will be parked empty.
- Can I sell a truck whose title is in our Loudoun County farm’s name? With 1,332 farms in the county on USDA’s 2022 Census of Agriculture, farm-titled trucks are common here. The person or entity named on the title signs it over, so have them ready along with the registration.
