Tankers loading at the FAIRFAX blending site
Both FAIRFAX and its neighbour, the FAIRFAX BLENDING TERMINAL, stand roughly 5.9 miles toward the south-west, and the Energy Information Administration classes each as a petroleum product terminal. If your tank truck or fuel tractor loads at either one, send us the VIN, the tank’s capacity plate and a photo of the cab, and say which of the two terminals it serves.
A tanker that is parked inside a terminal fence can be collected there. Give us the gate contact for the Fairfax site and the hours the yard is open, and we plan the pickup around them rather than asking you to move the rig into the neighbourhood.
Keep the tank’s test and inspection records together with the title. Fuel equipment carries its own paperwork, and handing it over at the start lets us ask about your particular tank instead of a generic one.
Liquid bulk by rail
Rail-fed product at Norfolk Southern TBT
Norfolk Southern TBT, a liquid bulk terminal, sits roughly 8.4 miles south-east of town on the Bureau of Transportation Statistics’ list. Tractors and tankers that shuttle product off rail cars there are trucks we buy, whether they are day cabs or sleepers.
If the truck you are selling is kept near that terminal rather than in Pimmit Hills, tell us the street address and the name of whoever holds the keys. Our driver collects it at that spot, so there is no trip back to Fairfax County for you to arrange.
Photos of the frame, the fifth wheel and each axle, taken in daylight, let us see what a tractor from the rail terminal looks like before anyone travels out to it.
Quarries about sixteen miles out
Two crushed-stone quarries appear in Mine Safety and Health Administration records within reach of Pimmit Hills: GRAHAM-VIRGINIA, 15.8 miles to the south, and Chantilly Crushed Stone Incorporated, 15.9 miles to the west. Dump trucks and tri-axles that haul aggregate out of either pit fall within what we purchase.
A dump truck stored at a quarry yard can stay put for the sale. Let us know which pit it sits in, who on site can let a driver in, and whether the bed and hoist are attached, so the collection crew arrives with the right equipment.
Have the registration card and the VIN plate photographed before you call. Those two items answer most of the first questions about a quarry truck from Chantilly or the GRAHAM-VIRGINIA site.
Builders and shops inside Pimmit Hills
Construction holds 75 of the 2,040 jobs based in Pimmit Hills, or 3.7 percent, on the Census Bureau’s LEHD job counts for 2023. Contractors there run box trucks, stake beds and small dumps, and any of those can be sold to us from the driveway or job site where they are kept.
Manufacturing accounts for 64 of those jobs, or 3.1 percent, by the same LEHD figures. A delivery truck or straight truck from a shop in Pimmit Hills only needs a clear title in the owner’s name and a few photos for us to get started.
If the title has been misplaced, say so at the beginning. We will tell you what the replacement involves before collection is arranged, so nothing stalls on the day.
Farms and installations
Fairfax County farms and the two research offices
USDA’s 2022 Census of Agriculture counts 77 farms in Fairfax County, with equine, potted flowering plants and honey among the top listed categories. Farm trucks, stake beds and flatbeds used on those properties are equally welcome, and we pick them up from the farm itself.
About 5.3 miles east, the Bureau of Transportation Statistics records two military installations: the Air Force Office of Scientific Research and the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency. If your truck is parked at a home or lot in that direction, give us the address and any access rules, and we will work the visit around them.

Send the gate contact and the yard hours.
- Will you collect a tri-axle dump truck sitting at Chantilly Crushed Stone?Chantilly Crushed Stone Incorporated, 15.9 miles west on Mine Safety and Health Administration records, is a site we collect from. Tell us who can open the yard and send photos of the truck and its VIN plate.
