Lewisville, Courtney and the Fazio sand yard
Lewisville Pit, a sand and gravel operation logged by the Mine Safety and Health Administration, lies 1.3 miles south-west of Battle Ground, so a dump truck or belly-dump tied to it is often parked within a short drive of town. Give us the yard address and a gate contact, and photograph the bed, the hoist and the cab before we talk.
North-east of town, Permanent Jaw Crusher # 2 at 6.8 miles and Courtney Pit at 10.2 miles are both crushed-stone quarries on the Mine Safety and Health Administration register. Rock trucks and tractors that pull end-dumps out of those quarries can be collected where they last worked; just tell us which access road reaches them.
Westward, Fazio Bros Sand Co Inc appears 11.1 miles out in the Mine Safety and Health Administration listing. If your truck hauled sand from there, have the title in your name and any scale tickets or service logs together, since those let us confirm the unit you describe.
A quarter of local jobs in construction
Construction accounts for 1,790 of the 6,908 jobs located in Battle Ground, a 25.9 percent share, in the Census Bureau’s LEHD job counts for 2023. Contractors here keep flatbeds, boom trucks and water trucks; if one of yours is idle, send the VIN, the registration and a few clear photos of each side.
The same LEHD figures put 387 Battle Ground jobs in manufacturing and 96 in wholesale trade. Box trucks and straight trucks from shops and suppliers along those lines qualify too, and a lease payoff letter or lien release should travel with the title when you get in touch.
According to FMCSA’s carrier census, 84 Battle Ground carriers list machinery and large objects among their cargo. Lowboys and the tractors that pull them are welcome; tell us whether the trailer goes with the tractor so we know what we are collecting.
330 carriers on the federal census here
Battle Ground has 330 active motor carriers on FMCSA’s carrier census, and 204 of them haul general freight. Whether you run one tractor or several, list each unit by VIN so we can handle them on one sale.
Of those carriers, 185 operate interstate and 145 stay intrastate, while 186 are private fleets moving their own goods, per FMCSA’s carrier census. A private-fleet truck sold out of a business needs a signature from someone authorised to sign for the company, so line that person up first.
Federal carrier census figures count 680 drivers working within 100 miles of base here and 494 working beyond it. A long-haul tractor may be parked anywhere on its route when you decide to sell; give us its current location and we will plan the pickup there.
One fleet registered in Battle Ground runs 111 power units with 172 drivers, another 105 units with 23 drivers, and a third 64 units with 53 drivers, on FMCSA’s register. A fleet retiring several trucks at once can send one list of VINs and yard addresses.
Timber and vehicles
Log trucks, car haulers and new carriers
Fifty-seven Battle Ground carriers haul logs, poles, beams or lumber, as recorded by FMCSA’s carrier census. Log trucks often sit at a landing or a shop off the main road, so tell us whether a lowboy-height rig can reach where yours is parked.
Motor vehicles are a listed cargo for 46 carriers here in that same federal census. Car haulers are trucks we buy; photograph the deck, the ramps and the headache rack along with the cab.
Battle Ground added 13 carriers to FMCSA’s carrier census in 2024, then 18 more during 2025. If your operation is newer and the truck was bought on finance, have the lender’s name and account number ready so the lien can be cleared at sale.
For 137 carriers here that report mileage, FMCSA’s carrier census shows a median of 20,680 miles per truck. Read both the odometer and the engine-hour meter before you reach out; we ask for the two together.
Port, rail, fuel
Vancouver’s port, rail yards and fuel terminal
Port of Vancouver USA, which the Bureau of Transportation Statistics lists as a port, is 6.6 miles south of Battle Ground. Day cabs and chassis tractors that move cargo off its docks can stay parked near the port; we arrange access with whoever runs the lot.
The North American Rail Network, kept by the Federal Railroad Administration and the Bureau of Transportation Statistics, places the VANCOUVER rail yard 11.6 miles south-west and VANCOUVER TERM #2 at 12.3 miles. Drayage tractors working those yards can be picked up near them once you share the address.
The Energy Information Administration lists VANCOVER STOP, a petroleum product terminal, 10.8 miles south-west. A fuel tanker that loads there should come with its tank inspection paperwork if you have it; if you do not, tell us what the truck hauled and we will ask the rest.
Nursery stock, dairy and the Ecology rules
USDA’s 2022 Census of Agriculture counts 1,927 farms in Clark County, with propagative material, milk and cattle at the top of their sales. Milk tankers, livestock haulers and nursery stake trucks from those farms are all trucks we collect, often straight from the farmyard.
Washington Department of Ecology guidance shows enforcement of Advanced Clean Trucks and of the Heavy-Duty Low NOx Omnibus rule paused, while its updated regulatory guidance for those rules is in force. That changes nothing about what you need to sell: a title in your name, current registration and the keys.
If the title is lost, Washington’s title agency issues the replacement, and a duplicate in hand before pickup keeps the sale simple. Send us the VIN meanwhile so we can start on everything else.
