Cavalero’s rail and dock neighbours
Five and a half miles west of Cavalero, the North American Rail Network kept by the Federal Railroad Administration and the Bureau of Transportation Statistics places two rail yards, Delta Yard and Delta, side by side. A tractor that shuttles freight between those yards and the hill country is often parked back at a home lot near town by evening, so give us that lot’s street address rather than the yard’s.
Seven miles out in the same direction, Everett is listed by the Bureau of Transportation Statistics as a strategic seaport. For a day cab or chassis hauling off the Everett docks, send photos of the cab, the frame rails, the fifth wheel and the VIN plate along with the title.
Haul routes from three Cavalero-area mines
Up the road to the north-east, the Mine Safety and Health Administration lists Getchell Pit at 7.3 miles and Menzel Lake Gravel at nine miles, both sand and gravel operations. Tandem dumps, end dumps and pup trailers built for that kind of haul fit what we purchase, and a truck that sits at a pit between loads can be collected right there if you tell us how the gate is reached.
To the south-east, twelve miles away by the same federal mine listing, Heidelberg Materials High Rock Quarry produces crushed stone. Owners of a mixer, a belly dump or a tri-axle that has run rock out of High Rock should keep the registration and any service invoices together in the cab; with those in hand the inspection at pickup is short work.
Two installations north of town
The Bureau of Transportation Statistics records a military installation at Marysville, 11.2 miles north-west of Cavalero, and another at Jim Creek, seventeen miles to the north-east. Support contractors near either one run box trucks, flatbeds and utility bodies, and any of those can be picked up from a contractor yard rather than brought into town.
If your truck has worked on or near a base, a gate pass or escort rule may apply to the spot where it is parked. Mention that when you first get in touch, along with the nearest public road, and we will arrange to meet the truck somewhere off the installation.
Around Cavalero and across the county, USDA’s 2022 Census of Agriculture counts 1,418 farms, with milk, cattle and corn as the leading products. Milk tankers, livestock haulers, grain trucks and farm flatbeds all belong on the list of what we buy from owners out here.
A truck that lives on a dairy or a cattle place is usually parked in a barn lot or behind the house, and that is where we collect it. Note whether the lane is gravel or paved and whether a trailer can turn around at the end of it, so the pickup driver arrives with the right equipment.
Frontier Village, two miles down the hill
Titles here come from the Washington State Department of Licensing, which works through vehicle and vessel licensing offices. The Washington State Department of Licensing office list places VILLAGE LICENSE AGENCY, INC. - Frontier Village Area, at 9327 4th St NE Ste 7, Lake Stevens, 98258, about 2.2 miles from Cavalero.
When the title has gone missing, start the replacement at that Lake Stevens counter before you call us, and bring your registration and photo ID. If a lender still holds a lien, ask the lender for a release letter at the same time so both documents reach us together.
Heavy-duty engine programs on hold in Snohomish
The Washington Department of Ecology guidance at apps.ecology.wa.gov describes two adopted programs for heavy trucks: Advanced Clean Trucks, taken from California’s regulation into Washington’s Clean Vehicles Program, and the Heavy-Duty Low NOx Omnibus under WAC 173-423-081. Ecology has put enforcement of each one on hold.
Cavalero owners can sell an older diesel or a newer model alike while that pause stands, and the state’s updated guidance on Advanced Clean Cars II, Advanced Clean Trucks and the Low NOx Omnibus remains in force. Keep the emissions label on the engine legible and photograph it with the rest of the truck.
The questions we get asked in Cavalero
- Will you come out to a gravel pit near Cavalero for my dump truck?Getchell Pit and Menzel Lake Gravel, both listed by the Mine Safety and Health Administration north-east of town, are the kind of site we collect from. Tell us which pit and how the gate opens, and we will meet the truck there.
- My title went missing - which Lake Stevens counter replaces it for a Cavalero truck? The Washington State Department of Licensing handles titles through its vehicle and vessel licensing offices, and its list puts VILLAGE LICENSE AGENCY, INC. - Frontier Village Area in Lake Stevens about 2.2 miles away. Bring registration and ID to Frontier Village and forward us the application receipt once it is filed.
- Will you collect a dairy tanker from a Cavalero barn lot?Dairy and cattle lead the farm products that USDA’s 2022 Census of Agriculture records for Snohomish County, and the tankers and stock trailers that serve them are trucks we purchase. We pick up from the farm itself.
- Does Ecology’s paused Low NOx Omnibus block a Cavalero owner from selling a diesel tractor?Washington’s Department of Ecology has paused enforcement of Advanced Clean Trucks and the Heavy-Duty Low NOx Omnibus, so an older diesel in Cavalero can still be sold. Send a photo of the engine’s emissions label with the others.
