A dump truck or end-dump tractor that runs out of that pit is likely parked at the pit itself or at a yard close to it, so give us the exact gate or lot where it sits and who can let us in.
Twenty miles south, Hawks Superior Rock appears in Mine Safety and Health Administration records as a crushed-stone quarry. If your truck hauled stone from there and still sits near the quarry, it can stay put; send photos of the cab, the bed and the frame, and have the title and registration in hand before we schedule the collection.
Aberdeen’s rail yards to the west
According to the North American Rail Network kept by the Federal Railroad Administration and the Bureau of Transportation Statistics, both the Aberdeen rail yard and Aberdeen Yard sit 5.5 miles west of town. Day cabs that shuttle loads between those yards and local customers belong on the list of trucks we purchase from owners here.
Tell us which yard the tractor worked from and where it is parked tonight, whether that is a lot beside the tracks or your own driveway in Central Park. A VIN, a clear photo of the odometer and any service records you kept are the first three things we will ask for.
Terminals on the harbor
Terminal 4, the roll-on/roll-off Omni-Terminal at the Port of Grays Harbor, is 6.4 miles west on the Bureau of Transportation Statistics’ list, and the same agency places the port’s liquid bulk terminal 7.2 miles out. Tractors that move cargo off those docks are trucks we buy, and we collect them at the terminal lot or wherever the owner keeps them.
Further out, the Bureau of Transportation Statistics records the Grays Harbor Port District 13.3 miles north-west. If your truck is parked inside a port fence, let us know whose credentials open the gate and which entrance to use, so the pickup can be arranged with the right people.
Tank trucks and the tractors that pull fuel trailers from that terminal to stations and farms across the county are part of what we take on.
For a fuel hauler, collect the registration, the title and any tank inspection paperwork you have, and photograph the tank, the hose reel and the plates along with the cab. Note whether the trailer is sold with the tractor or separately.
Milk tankers, livestock haulers and flatbeds that carry trees out each winter all come from that kind of farm work.
Describe the ground it is parked on and how close a tow vehicle can get, and put the title and registration together before we arrive; if the title is missing, the state’s title agency handles a replacement.
Washington’s emission rules today
Washington’s Clean Vehicles Program adopted California’s Advanced Clean Trucks regulation, and the state ecology publication on it lists enforcement of that rule as paused. The Heavy-Duty Low NOx Omnibus, Washington’s medium- and heavy-duty vehicle emission standard, carries the same paused status in that publication.
An update to regulatory guidance for Advanced Clean Cars II, Advanced Clean Trucks and the Low NOx Omnibus is listed there as in force. If you hold emission labels or engine certification paperwork for a Central Park truck, keep it with the title so the engine family is on record when we look at it.
The questions we get asked in Central Park
- Will you take a tractor that works the Port of Grays Harbor?Port of Grays Harbor’s Terminal 4 lies 6.4 miles west of town according to the Bureau of Transportation Statistics, and tractors from its docks are among the trucks we purchase.
- Do you buy farm trucks from Grays Harbor County dairies and tree farms?Milk, cattle and cut Christmas trees lead the 369 farms that USDA’s 2022 Census of Agriculture counts in Grays Harbor County, and the trucks those farms run are ones we buy.
