High Rock and the pits to the south
Heidelberg Materials High Rock Quarry, a crushed-stone site the Mine Safety and Health Administration records 5.6 miles north of Duvall, is the closest mine to town. A dump truck or end-dump tractor that hauls rock from High Rock is likely parked on a rural lot or at the owner’s home between loads; send us the street address and a note on how a lowboy or tow unit gets in.
Two sand and gravel operations lie south of the city on the Mine Safety and Health Administration’s list: Issaquah Pit & Plant at 13.5 miles and the CalPortland site near Snoqualmie at 14.7 miles to the south-east. If your truck is kept at one of those pits, name the operator whose gate it sits behind so the collection can be cleared with them first.
Box freight, heavy equipment and Duvall timber
Of Duvall’s 79 active carriers, 30 list general freight in FMCSA’s carrier census, 20 list machinery and large objects, 14 list logs, poles, beams and lumber, and 13 list farm supplies. A box truck, a flatbed or a log truck from any of those lines is a truck we buy; have the title and current registration in the same name before we talk.
Whether yours is a lowboy tractor or a log truck with a self-loader, write down the VIN, the engine model and any trailer that goes with the tractor, then photograph the cab, the frame rails and the tires so the description and the pictures agree.
The federal carrier census also records 74 of these carriers as intrastate only, 5 as interstate and 49 as private fleets hauling their own goods. A private-fleet truck carries the owning business’s name on the title, so the person who signs it over needs authority to sign for that company.
Duvall’s small fleets and solo drivers
The three largest fleets based in Duvall each run 4 to 6 power units with as many drivers, according to FMCSA’s carrier census. Selling one truck out of a six-truck operation is routine for us; tell us which unit is going and leave the rest of the yard as it is.
Drivers here mostly stay close to home: FMCSA records 106 working within 100 miles and 33 working beyond that radius. A median of 21,040 miles per truck a year, across the 11 Duvall carriers that report mileage to FMCSA, is a neutral figure; just read us the odometer when you call.
New registrations in town are steady but few, with 3 carriers added in 2025 and 2 in 2024 per the federal carrier census. If your authority is recent and the truck was bought with a loan, have the lender’s name and payoff contact ready so the title can be released at the sale.
Duvall’s job base and the trucks behind it
In 2023 the Census Bureau’s LEHD job counts put 1,893 jobs in Duvall, with 122 of them in construction, 67 in manufacturing and 54 in wholesale trade. A dump body, utility truck or stake bed from that construction work can be collected from a job site if the site contact knows we are coming.
Thirty-six construction firms operate around Duvall, per the Census Bureau’s County Business Patterns, and a truck from any of them can be collected at the firm’s own yard. If a contractor here is retiring a truck from a crew, the company’s registration documents and any maintenance log kept in the shop are the papers to gather before the pickup.
Rail yards, ramps and the Seattle waterfront
The North American Rail Network shows the Gold Bar yard 15 miles north-east of Duvall and the Coach yard 19.6 miles to the south-west. A tractor that runs to either yard can stay where it is parked; give us the address and a phone number for whoever holds the keys.
To the west, Terminal 30 sits 20 miles out and the Seattle International Gateway ramp 20.2 miles to the south-west, both listed by the Bureau of Transportation Statistics as rail intermodal ramps. A day cab that pulls containers between those ramps and the Seattle port, 18 miles from town, should come with its chassis details if a chassis is part of the sale.
Dairy and nursery
Milk tankers, cattle trailers and plant trucks
Milk ranks first among King County’s farm products, ahead of cattle and foliage plants, across the 1,604 farms that USDA’s 2022 Census of Agriculture tallies for the county. Milk tankers, livestock haulers and nursery box trucks all fit what we take, and a farm truck can be collected from the barnyard where it is kept.
Washington’s Department of Ecology lists enforcement of the Advanced Clean Trucks rule and the Heavy-Duty Low NOx Omnibus standard as paused in its publication 2514036. Keep the emissions label and engine family number visible in your photos so the truck’s certification is clear from the start.
The questions we get asked in Duvall
- Can you collect my rock truck from a lot by High Rock instead of in town?High Rock Quarry is 5.6 miles north of Duvall on the Mine Safety and Health Administration’s records, and we collect from there or from any lot along the way. Give us the location and the name of whoever can open the gate.
- Our Duvall business owns the truck outright as a private fleet unit; whose signature goes on the title?FMCSA’s carrier census lists 49 private fleets in Duvall, and each of those trucks is titled to the business. An officer or owner with signing authority for the company signs, and we ask for that person’s name up front.
- Can a Duvall log truck be sold together with its trailer or self-loader?Fourteen Duvall carriers list logs, poles, beams and lumber in FMCSA’s carrier census, and we take tractors with their log trailers or self-loaders. List both units with their VINs when you contact us.
