Sell your semi truck for cash in Friday Harbor the easy and convenient way

Lawson Quarry Inc, a sand and gravel operation the Mine Safety and Health Administration lists 5.6 miles west of Friday Harbor, sits closest to town. A dump truck or end-dump that has spent its days hauling from that pit is most likely parked at the yard or at the owner’s home on the island, and that is where we arrange to meet it.

Across the water, Island County RM is a sand and gravel operation about 22.2 miles south-east, again per the Mine Safety and Health Administration. A truck kept on Whidbey rather than San Juan is just as easy for us to collect; give us the address and the island it is on.

FMCSA’s carrier census shows 90 active carriers based in Friday Harbor, and 86 of them run intrastate only, with just 4 authorised to cross state lines. A truck registered for Washington work alone is the usual case on the island, so have the current Washington registration with the title when you contact us.

Private fleets make up 61 of those 90, according to the same FMCSA census, meaning most of the trucks here move the owner’s own goods rather than freight for hire. Contractors, builders and island businesses selling a single unit are exactly who we buy from.

Manufacturing holds 90 of those jobs and transportation and warehousing 74, or 4.7 and 3.9 percent, in the same LEHD figures. Delivery vans, straight trucks and tractors from those employers can all be collected on the island.

Bring the registration and your identification when you go to the Court Street counter, as the Department of Licensing deals with both vehicles and boats at that office. Once the replacement title is in hand, the rest of the sale is the VIN, photos and a pickup address.

The Bureau of Transportation Statistics places Naval Air Station Whidbey Island 21.3 miles south-east of Friday Harbor and Racon Hill, also a military installation, 21.8 miles in the same direction. Trucks that serve contracts at either site are often kept on Whidbey, and we collect them there.
