Rock next door
High Rock Quarry, two and a half miles east
Dump trucks, end dumps and belly dumps that load at a quarry face are the kind of equipment we buy, so if yours has hauled out of High Rock, tell us the body type and the axle setup when you first get in touch.
A quarry truck is often parked on a contractor’s yard or at a home lot off the county road rather than in town. Give us the exact spot, a gate code if there is one, and the name of whoever can let our driver in, and the collection gets arranged around that location instead of yours.
Cadman Longview (Gold Bar) Pit, a sand and gravel operation, is 18.4 miles east of town on the Mine Safety and Health Administration’s list, and the same federal agency places Issaquah Pit & Plant 17.7 miles south. A truck that splits its loads between those two pits and the quarry nearer home may sit anywhere along that triangle on the day you decide to sell.
For a tractor that pulled pup trailers or a transfer box between pits, send the VIN, a clear photo of the plate on the door jamb, and pictures of the bed and the hoist. With those in hand, we can talk through a gravel truck with you over the phone first.
Of the 331 jobs counted in High Bridge for 2023 in the Census Bureau’s LEHD job counts (LODES), 112 were in construction, a 33.8 percent share. Flatbeds, water trucks, mixers and service bodies that support building sites are all trucks we purchase, whether the owner runs one rig or several.
If the truck belongs to a small construction outfit rather than to you personally, have the business name on the title match whoever signs for it, and bring a letter from the company authorising the sale if a partner or officer is signing on its behalf.
Everett, a strategic seaport on the Bureau of Transportation Statistics list, lies 15.3 miles north-west of High Bridge. The North American Rail Network, kept by the Federal Railroad Administration and the Bureau of Transportation Statistics, shows the Delta rail yard 15.9 miles out in that same direction and the Gold Bar yard 15.2 miles east.
Heading south-west, the Bureau of Transportation Statistics records two intermodal ramps, Terminal 30 (T-30) at 20.9 miles and Seattle International Gateway (SIG) at 21.2 miles. A day cab or sleeper that has pulled containers off those ramps is one we can collect from a yard in Seattle as easily as from a driveway in High Bridge; just tell us which.
For a container tractor, list the trailers or chassis it pulled and whether any of them come with the sale. A tractor sold on its own and a tractor sold with a chassis are written up differently, and knowing early keeps the paperwork straight.
Milk tankers, livestock haulers, grain trucks and farm flatbeds are part of what we take in, and a farm truck usually stays on the property until we arrive for it.
Check whose name is printed on the title before you contact us, and if the person named is not the one selling, have them ready to sign or arrange a power of attorney.
A clean, signed title in the seller’s name is what we need most. If the title has gone missing, a duplicate comes from the state’s title agency, so put that request in before you plan the sale. Keep the current registration and any service records with the title so they travel together.
Washington’s Clean Vehicles Program adopted California’s Advanced Clean Trucks regulation and the Heavy-Duty Low NOx Omnibus; enforcement of both is listed as paused in the state’s published guidance, while updated regulatory guidance for those rules is in force. If you have questions about how those rules touch your truck, mention them when you call and we will go through the sale with that in mind.
