Pacific Quarry, a crushed-stone operation on the Mine Safety and Health Administration’s roll of mines, lies about 7 miles north-east of Lake Ketchum. A dump truck or end-dump tractor that has hauled aggregate off that site is the kind of rig we buy here, so send us the VIN, the body type and a few clear photos of the bed and cab.
Roughly 10.2 miles south-west, the Rock Plant is another crushed-stone site listed by the Mine Safety and Health Administration. If your truck still sits in a yard near either quarry, give us the gate location and a phone number for whoever holds the key, and the pickup is planned around that spot rather than around your home address.
Owners who ran loads between these two quarries often have scale tickets or haul logs in the cab. Keep them with the truck; they tell us what the rig carried without a long conversation.
East of the lake, about 10.7 miles out, the Mine Safety and Health Administration lists Smokey Point Pit as a sand and gravel operation. Belly dumps, transfer trailers and tandem-axle dump trucks that work pits like this one can be sold from where they are parked, with no need to move them toward town first.
To the west, roughly 13.2 miles away, sits Island County RM, a sand and gravel site that the Mine Safety and Health Administration also records. If your truck worked that site, tell us which side of the water it is parked on now, and we will set the collection route with you.
Have the registration card and the title ready for either site, along with any service records you kept. Photos of the frame rails, the hoist and the tires help us read the truck the same way you know it.
Two rail yards south-east of the lake
Per the North American Rail Network, kept by the Federal Railroad Administration and the Bureau of Transportation Statistics, a yard named ARLINGTON sits 11.9 miles south-east of Lake Ketchum, with ARLINGTON YARD just beside it at 12 miles. Day cabs and flatbed tractors that move freight off rail sidings like these are on the list of trucks we take.
If your tractor has been dropping and picking up at the Arlington yards and is now parked near the tracks, tell us the cross streets and whether a lowboy or tow truck can reach it. A clear path to the truck is what lets us schedule the pickup on the first call.
The Bureau of Transportation Statistics lists a military installation at Marysville WA, about 13.8 miles south-east, and OLF Coupeville, roughly 14.7 miles west. Box trucks and service bodies that ran contract work near either base are welcome here.
If you have since been reassigned and left the truck behind near Marysville or Coupeville, you can sell it from wherever you are stationed now. Leave us a local contact who can show us the truck and sign the title over, or arrange to sign it yourself by mail.
Around Lake Ketchum, the farm count for Snohomish County stands at 1,418 in USDA’s 2022 Census of Agriculture, with milk, cattle and corn as the leading products. Milk tankers, livestock haulers and grain trucks that served those farms fit what we purchase.
Tell us whether the ground is firm enough for a tow rig, and send a photo of the plate and the VIN plate.
Lake Ketchum owners who have misplaced a title go through the Washington State Department of Licensing, which handles replacements through its vehicle and vessel licensing offices. The Washington State Department of Licensing lists the closest one, CAMANO ISLAND LICENSING at 811 N Sunrise Blvd Ste D, Camano Island, 98282, about 5.9 miles from the lake.
Start the replacement before you contact us if you can, and bring your registration and photo ID to the Camano Island counter. If a lender still holds a lien on the truck, ask the lienholder for a release letter as well, so the title can be signed over cleanly.
Washington’s clean-truck regulations, as the state Department of Ecology’s guidance describes them, adopt California’s heavy-duty truck sales and engine standards, but enforcement of both is on hold for now. A Lake Ketchum owner selling a truck today needs only the title and registration from the Washington State Department of Licensing.
