High Rock and beyond
Rock and gravel on three sides of Lake Marcel-Stillwater
Heidelberg Materials High Rock Quarry, a crushed-stone quarry the Mine Safety and Health Administration lists 8.8 miles north-west of Lake Marcel-Stillwater, is the closest pit to town. A tandem dump or end dump that has hauled stone out of High Rock is the kind of truck we want to hear about, and it can stay at the yard or driveway where it last parked; we collect from there.
Two sand and gravel operations bracket the valley in MSHA’s listings: Snoqualmie S&G dba CalPortland Company at 11 miles south-east and Issaquah Pit & Plant at 11.7 miles south-west. If your transfer truck or mixer split its weeks between those two plants, tell us so, and send the VIN, the plate and clear photos of the body and the cab.
Further up the valley, the Mine Safety and Health Administration records a second crushed-stone quarry at North Bend, 18.4 miles south-east. Owners whose trucks ran between North Bend and the Snoqualmie plant can name both sites when they write to us, and we will plan the pickup from there.
Seattle waterfront runs
From the lakeshore to Seattle’s docks and the T-ramp
Seattle’s port lies 14.6 miles south of Lake Marcel-Stillwater according to the Bureau of Transportation Statistics. Day cabs that have pulled chassis to the Seattle waterfront are welcome here, and a sleeper that started its runs at the docks is too.
Terminal 30 (T-30), a rail intermodal ramp 21.2 miles west on the BTS list, is where many of those container moves meet the railroad. If your tractor worked that ramp, have the registration and any service records together before we talk, and send them with the photos.
Gold Bar to the north-east, Renton to the south-west
The North American Rail Network, kept by the Federal Railroad Administration and the Bureau of Transportation Statistics, places the GOLD BAR rail yard 14.9 miles north-east of town along the Skykomish side. A flatbed or straight truck that shuttled freight to that yard fits what we buy, and we will collect it wherever it now sits.
To the south-west, RENTON appears on the North American Rail Network at 20.4 miles out. Sellers whose trucks moved loads between Renton and the valley should note the yard in their first message, together with the odometer reading and a photo of the data plate on the door.
Job-site dump trucks and service bodies off the Stillwater road
Forty construction establishments operate in the King County area that includes Lake Marcel-Stillwater, by the Census Bureau’s County Business Patterns tally. Contractors here run dump trucks, flatbeds and service bodies, and any of them can be sold to us straight from the job site or the shop lot.
A contractor closing out a truck should gather the title, the current registration and a few photos of the bed or body before contacting us. If the truck carries a lien, tell us the lender’s name at the start so the release can be arranged alongside the sale.
Farm trucks from the valley floor
Lake Marcel-Stillwater sits among the 1,604 farms that USDA’s 2022 Census of Agriculture counts across King County, where milk, cattle and foliage plants top the list of products. Livestock haulers, feed trucks and box trucks that move nursery stock all belong to that farm economy, and we buy each of those types.
If your farm truck has been parked in a barn or field since the last season, give us the address and say whether a tow truck can reach it; we will plan the pickup around the ground it sits on.
Lost paperwork, east of the lake
Where a valley owner with no title in the glovebox goes next
The Washington State Department of Licensing issues truck titles, and it lists BEL RED AUTO LICENSE, INC. - Crossroads at 15600 NE 8th Suite K-16, Bellevue, 98008, about 11.5 miles from town, among its vehicle and vessel licensing offices. An owner here who cannot find the title can request a replacement at that Crossroads office before the sale.
Bring the plate number, the VIN and your identification to Bellevue so the clerk can match the record. If the title is in a business name, carry proof that you can sign for the company as well.
Clean truck standards that apply in the valley
Washington adopted California’s advanced clean trucks regulation within its Clean Vehicles Program, and the state Department of Ecology says enforcement of it is paused. The Department of Ecology places the state’s medium- and heavy-duty engine emission standards under WAC 173-423-081 in the same position, with enforcement on hold.
Ecology’s updated regulatory guidance covering those rules is in force, and a seller in Lake Marcel-Stillwater can read it alongside the engine label on the truck. Send us a photo of that label with the rest of your pictures, and we will know which engine family the truck carries.
