Coach yard run
Coach yards and container ramps south-west of Medina
Two rail yards listed in the North American Rail Network, COACH and COACH YARD, sit about 5 miles south-west of Medina, a tenth of a mile apart. A day cab that shuttles between those yards and Medina can be collected wherever it is parked; give us the street address and say whether a gate code or key holder is needed.
Seattle International Gateway (SIG), an intermodal ramp the Bureau of Transportation Statistics places 5.5 miles south-west, and Terminal 30 (T-30), 5.3 miles due west on the same agency’s list, both handle containers. If your tractor has pulled chassis out of either ramp, send the VIN, the odometer reading and a photo of each side of the cab so we can start from facts rather than guesses.
Shell and Harbor Island racks
Tanker work at Harbor Island and the Shell terminal
The Energy Information Administration records two petroleum product terminals six miles from Medina: SHELL SEATTLE TERMINAL to the west and HARBOR ISLAND to the south-west. Tank trucks working those racks usually carry hazmat placards and site inspection sheets; keep those sheets with the title so the truck’s history comes over in one folder.
If a fuel truck is parked inside a terminal fence rather than at your yard, tell us whose lot it sits on before pickup. A short note naming the site contact lets the collection be arranged with the people who control the gate.
Arcosa quarry haul
Mixers and dump trucks near the Seattle Plant
According to the Mine Safety and Health Administration, a cement plant called Seattle Plant operates 6.2 miles south-west of Medina, and the Arcosa Specialty Materials Seattle #1890 crushed-stone quarry is listed 6.8 miles out in the same direction. Mixers, bulk cement haulers and end dumps are the trucks that serve sites like these, and we purchase all three.
For a dump body or mixer drum, photograph the body as well as the cab and note the body maker if you know it. Registration, any service invoices you kept and the axle configuration round out what we ask for first.
A small town with a handful of builders
Medina counted 693 workplace positions in 2023 in the Census Bureau’s LEHD job counts. Eight construction establishments appear in County Business Patterns for the area, and builders like these run dump beds, flatbeds and small box trucks.
A contractor closing out one of those eight firms, or trimming a few trucks, can list every unit in one message. Give us each VIN and where each truck is parked, and we will plan collection truck by truck from those addresses.
Rainier Avenue
A Rainier Avenue licensing office for Medina sellers
In Washington, titles are handled by the Washington State Department of Licensing through its vehicle and vessel licensing offices. The Department of Licensing’s office listing puts RAINIER VEHICLE AND VESSEL LICENSING LLC, at 3820 Rainier Ave S Ste C, Seattle, 98118, about 4.5 miles from Medina.
If the title is missing, start the replacement there or through the Department’s lost-title instructions before you contact us, and tell us it is under way. A lien still on the title should be named up front, with the lender’s name, so the release can be handled alongside the sale.
Advanced Clean Trucks and the Low NOx Omnibus for Medina owners
Washington adopted California’s Advanced Clean Trucks regulation under its Clean Vehicles Program, and the state’s published guidance lists enforcement of that rule as paused. The Heavy-Duty Low NOx Omnibus, Washington’s medium- and heavy-duty vehicle emission standards, carries the same paused status in that guidance.
An updated regulatory guidance covering Advanced Clean Cars II, Advanced Clean Trucks and the Low NOx Omnibus is listed as in force. If you have emission certificates or engine labels for your truck, photograph them; they answer the model-year questions without a second round of messages.
Milk and foliage
Tankers and nursery box trucks beyond Medina
Out past Medina’s shoreline streets, King County held 1,604 farms in USDA’s 2022 Census of Agriculture, with milk, cattle and foliage plants as the leading products. Milk tankers, livestock haulers and box trucks moving nursery stock are the trucks those farms keep on the road.
A farm truck kept in a barn or field lane can be collected there. Tell us how the truck is reached, whether the ground is gravel or grass, and send photos of the frame and the tires with the title.
