If your tractor or straight truck has stayed on Washington roads, your Washington title and current registration are the two papers to find before you call.
A farm or contractor that owns a single truck for its own work is exactly who we collect from; have the title in the business name or yours, and tell us which it is.
New registrations are few: the carrier census shows two carriers starting up in Suncrest in 2025 and one in 2024. If you are one of them and plan to sell the truck you started with, send the VIN, the plate number and photos of the cab, the frame and each side.
General freight leads the cargo list, with 36 Suncrest carriers registered for it in the FMCSA census, while 21 haul farm supplies and 19 carry grain, feed or hay. A grain truck or hopper tractor that spends harvest parked at a farm can be collected from that farm gate; give us the road name and who has the keys.
Machinery and large objects appear on 18 carrier registrations in FMCSA’s records. If your truck pulls a lowboy or a step-deck for equipment, list the trailer separately from the tractor when you write to us, and say whether you are selling one or both.
Note the odometer reading off the dash and put it in your first message, beside the year, make and model.
Wheat, barley and horses across the county
USDA’s 2022 Census of Agriculture counts 944 farms in Stevens County, with wheat, barley and equine listed as its top products. A truck kept on one of those farms for hauling crop or hay is usually titled to the farm owner, so check whose name sits on the Washington title before we book the collection.
Farm trucks often sit in a machine shed between seasons. Tell us whether the shed is on a gravel lane or a paved road and whether a tow vehicle can turn around near it; we plan the trip around the place where the truck actually waits, not around Suncrest itself.
Construction work near Suncrest
Dump trucks, mixers and flatbeds from that work are among the vehicles we buy, so tell us the body type as well as the chassis.
If your truck belongs to a contracting firm, the person signing the title must be someone authorised for the business; have that name ready along with the registration.
Nineteen miles south, the Mine Safety and Health Administration lists Wash Plant #1, a sand and gravel operation. A truck that hauls aggregate out of a pit like that one may be parked at the pit itself, and we can collect it there once the operator knows we are coming.
Spokane’s yards, terminals and the intermodal ramp
Two rail yards, Erie Street Yard and Burlington, sit 15.3 miles south-east of town on the North American Rail Network kept by the Federal Railroad Administration and the Bureau of Transportation Statistics. The Bureau of Transportation Statistics also places the Spokane intermodal ramp 16.9 miles away. A day cab that has shuttled containers to that ramp can be picked up from your yard or your home; send its location.
The Energy Information Administration lists two petroleum product terminals nearby, SPOKANE 13.2 miles east and HILLYARD 14.4 miles south-east. If your truck pulled a fuel tanker to either one, tell us whether the tank goes with it and keep any tank inspection paperwork with the title.
To the south, White Bluff lies 8.8 miles out and Fairchild Air Force Base 14.7 miles out, both listed by the Bureau of Transportation Statistics as military installations. A truck parked inside a gated site needs a contact who can let us in, so name that person when you get in touch.
Whatever the model year, the paperwork we ask for stays the same: the title, the registration, any service records you kept, and clear photos. The three biggest fleets listed in the FMCSA census run 15, 12 and 8 power units, and a fleet selling several trucks at once can send one list with every VIN on it.
Clean truck rules on hold in Washington
Enforcement of Washington’s Heavy-Duty Low NOx Omnibus standards for medium- and heavy-duty vehicles is listed as paused in the same Department of Ecology publication.
That publication also carries updated regulatory guidance for those rules, which is in force. If you have emission certificates or engine labels for a diesel truck, photograph them along with the rest of the paperwork.
