Gravel off the Santa Fe River
Head 3.7 miles south-west of Tres Arroyos and you reach Santa Fe River Pit, which the Mine Safety and Health Administration records as a sand and gravel operation. Tandem dumps and end-dump trailers that haul aggregate out of a pit that close are exactly the kind of equipment we buy here. If yours is parked at the pit or at a yard on the way, give us that location and we will arrange collection there.
Farther west, the Mine Safety and Health Administration also lists Pena Blanca, a second sand and gravel site 17.2 miles from town. A truck that splits its days between the two pits can be picked up at either end. Send a few photos of the bed, the hoist and the cab, plus the VIN plate, and we have what we need to start.
A mineral mine east, a guard post south
Cerrito Pelado, which the Mine Safety and Health Administration records as an industrial-mineral mine, sits 5.8 miles east. Haul trucks and lowboys that serve a mineral site like that often stay on location between shifts. Tell us whether the truck is at the mine gate or back in Tres Arroyos, and whether a gate pass is needed, so the pickup can be planned around access.
To the south, the Bureau of Transportation Statistics lists NG Santa Fe - Onate Complex TS as a military installation 8.1 miles out. Box trucks and flatbeds that have run supply loads near the complex are welcome too. Keep the registration and any service log in the cab so the paperwork travels with the truck when we load it.
Rosario Asphalt
Asphalt and fuel to the west
Seventeen miles west, Rosario Asphalt is listed by the Energy Information Administration as a petroleum product terminal. Asphalt distributors, tankers and the tractors that pull them between that terminal and Santa Fe job sites fit what we purchase. Let us know the tank type and capacity when you write, along with the tractor’s VIN.
The terminal and the Pena Blanca pit both sit west of town. If your tractor has pulled both aggregate and liquid loads, say so; a single description of the truck’s routes lets us ask fewer questions and arrange collection wherever it last parked.
Contractor trucks on the north edge of Santa Fe
For 2023 the Census Bureau’s LEHD job counts (LODES) place 284 jobs in Tres Arroyos, and construction accounts for 59 of them, a 20.8 percent share. Flatbeds, stake-bed trucks and small dumps that carry materials to building sites are common equipment for that kind of work, and we take them as readily as tractors.
A contractor selling one truck out of a small yard does not need to deliver it anywhere. Give us the yard address, the title holder’s name and a phone number for whoever holds the keys, and we will collect it where it sits.
Herds and feed
Cattle, corn and goats nearby
Ranches and farms ring Tres Arroyos: USDA’s 2022 Census of Agriculture counts 591 of them across Santa Fe County, led by cattle, corn and goats. Livestock haulers, grain trucks and ranch flatbeds from those operations are part of what we buy around Tres Arroyos.
Farm trucks often sit at a ranch gate or in a barn rather than a paved lot. Tell us the road in and whether a trailer can turn around at the property, and we will bring the right equipment for the pickup.
Camino Entrada
The MVD counter closest to Tres Arroyos
The New Mexico Motor Vehicle Division handles titles through its MVD field offices, and the nearest is NM MVD Field Office - Santa Fe at 2546 Camino Entrada, Santa Fe, 87507, 3.3 miles from Tres Arroyos. If the title is missing, that office is where a replacement is requested.
Have the title, the current registration and a photo ID ready before we arrive. If the truck is titled to a business, bring proof that you can sign for it; the field office on Camino Entrada can help with that paperwork as well.
Zero-emission and engine standards in force
New Mexico’s Advanced Clean Trucks requirement for medium- and heavy-duty zero-emission vehicles is in force under the state’s administrative code. The state’s heavy-duty engine exhaust standards, known as the Heavy-Duty Omnibus, are in force as well.
Both rules apply statewide, including Santa Fe County. We buy diesel trucks around Tres Arroyos regardless; share the engine model year and the emissions label when you send photos.
