Sell your semi truck for cash in Ontario the easy and convenient way

Ontario sits between the Mira Loma and Montclair rail yards in San Bernardino County, with sand and gravel pits to its north and a petroleum terminal at Fontana to its east. The tractors, dump trucks and tankers that serve those sites are the trucks we buy here.

Ontario’s two neighbouring rail yards

The North American Rail Network, kept by the Federal Railroad Administration and the Bureau of Transportation Statistics, places Mira Loma Yard 4.2 miles east of Ontario and the Montclair yard 4.6 miles west. A day cab that shuttles between those two yards and the warehouses around them is often parked at a yard or a dock rather than at a home address. Send us the street address and the name of whoever controls the gate, and we collect it where it stands.

Intermodal container haulers make up 222 of the motor carriers based in Ontario, according to FMCSA’s carrier census. If your tractor has pulled chassis out of either yard, have the VIN, the title and the current registration in one place before you call, since those three answer most of what we ask first.

Sand, gravel and the Cucamonga Creek mine

North of town, the Mine Safety and Health Administration lists Campus Plant at 7.1 miles, Upland Pit and Mill at 7.3 miles to the north-west, and Cucamonga Creek Mine, an industrial-mineral operation, at 7.8 miles. Dump trucks, transfer rigs and end-dump tractors that haul from those pits fit what we purchase, and photos of the bed, the frame and the cab tell us which one you have.

Twelve miles east, Riverside Operation appears in Mine Safety and Health Administration records as a mineral processing plant. If your truck is kept at a pit or plant gate, tell us whether a site escort is needed, so the pickup is booked around the site’s rules.

Construction employed 6,074 people working in Ontario in 2023, per the Census Bureau’s LEHD job counts, and County Business Patterns from the same bureau lists 362 construction establishments. Owners of a single dump truck or water truck from that trade can sell it on their own name; bring the title and any service records you kept.

Tankers near the Fontana terminal

The Energy Information Administration records the Fontana Plant, a petroleum product terminal, 7.4 miles east of Ontario. Fuel tankers and the tractors that pull them are trucks we take. Tell us the tank’s capacity and compartments, and keep any tank inspection paperwork with the truck so it travels with the sale.

Due south 8.1 miles, the Bureau of Transportation Statistics lists Naval Weapons Station Seal Beach Detachment Norco. A truck stored on or near a secured installation needs an access arrangement before collection, so mention it when you first write to us.

Ontario’s carriers in figures

FMCSA’s carrier census counts 3,307 active carriers in Ontario: 1,003 run interstate, 2,291 stay intrastate, and 494 are private fleets hauling their own goods. The same census shows general freight listed by 1,838 of them, with refrigerated food and meat each named by 222. Reefer tractors and the units behind them are welcome; tell us the reefer unit’s make and hours alongside the tractor’s details.

New registrations went from 170 in 2024 to 202 in 2025, by FMCSA’s carrier census. If you are one of those newer operators closing out a single truck, the sale runs on the title in your name, and a lien on it is settled as part of the paperwork rather than before you call.

Carriers reporting mileage to FMCSA’s carrier census, 910 of them, show a median of 45,000 miles per truck a year. Read the odometer before you contact us and include a photo of it; that one figure saves a round of questions.

Model years and fleet sizes

Across 2,907 Ontario trucks inspected between August 2024 and August 2026, FMCSA roadside inspection records give a median model year of 2019, and 20.7 percent were ten or more years old. Whatever the year on yours, the model year, engine and transmission are what we need first.

The three biggest fleets based here run 686, 268 and 217 power units, according to FMCSA’s carrier census. Fleet managers retiring several units at once can send one list with each VIN, its location and its title status, and we work through them together.

Bridges, warehouses and pickup routes

Of 102 bridges in Ontario in the National Bridge Inventory from the Federal Highway Administration, none is load-posted and one is under 14 feet: State Route 60 over Cucamonga Creek, at 13 ft 10 in. If your truck carries a tall load or is parked near that crossing, tell us its height so the collection route avoids it.

Transportation and warehousing accounted for 28,912 of the 138,737 jobs in Ontario in 2023, the Census Bureau’s LEHD job counts show, while County Business Patterns lists 140 warehousing establishments. A yard tractor or box truck kept inside a distribution centre’s fence can be picked up there once we have a dock contact.

The questions we get asked in Ontario

  • My tractor sits on a lot by Mira Loma Yard, east of Ontario; can you collect it from that lot?It can stay put: the North American Rail Network puts Mira Loma Yard 4.2 miles east of Ontario, and we collect from the lot where the tractor is. Send the lot’s address and the name of whoever holds the gate key.
  • My California truck title has gone missing. Where does a duplicate come from?California’s title agency issues duplicate titles. Apply for the replacement in the name on the registration, and tell us it is under way when you contact us.
  • Can you collect a dump truck from the Upland Pit and Mill?We can: the Mine Safety and Health Administration lists Upland Pit and Mill 7.3 miles north-west of Ontario; tell us whether the site requires an escort and we plan the pickup around it.
  • Does the low bridge over Cucamonga Creek matter for collecting my truck? It can: the National Bridge Inventory lists the State Route 60 crossing of Cucamonga Creek at 13 ft 10 in, so tell us the truck’s height and we route the collection to suit.
