Oklahoma City covers six hundred square miles, and a good deal of that is still ranch and field. Cattle come first among the county's farm products, the oilfield is a short drive in every direction, and Tinker Air Force Base keeps a fleet of its own. Two in three of the city's carriers work Oklahoma only.
So the Oklahoma City semi truck is a winch truck headed for a pad, a cattle pot, a grain truck at harvest, a machinery hauler, a tanker loading at Del City, a flatbed with pipe or steel, a bus, a dump truck out of the Spencer sand plant, or a sleeper that runs the long lanes in every direction from the crossroads.
Service Oklahoma and the licensed operators
Oklahoma titles come from Service Oklahoma and its licensed operators, the former tag agents, which take the application for a duplicate title and the title transfer across the city; the agency publishes its locations through a map rather than a list, so look up the nearest one. The federal chart, plus five and eight
Oklahoma runs the federal 80,000 pounds chart and lets rock, grain and livestock haulers run five percent over it off the interstate, and the Oklahoma page has the rule. The city keeps no bridge list of its own on the federal inventory, so the Oklahoma City part is the road the truck worked: a gravel truck on its five percent and a service truck that never weighed in are the same first message to us.
